Dreambox DM800HD PVR review

Hot on the heels of the DM600PVR comes its hi-def relative but obsession with size has compromised its usefulness

Dreambox DM800HD
Sound quality and picture quality in the DM800HD are both excellent, especially if DVI/HDMI is used

TechRadar Verdict

There's much to be said in favour of the multifunctional Dreambox approach. And one can't deny the achievements in cramming a receiver of this type into such a small space which has resulted in oddities like the tiny display. Also letting the side down are some annoying bugs – notably a search facility that's currently too selective in some respects and not selective enough in others. However, the networkability of the 800HD offers lots of potential to those who are prepared to experiment
