Budget-friendly tablets often compromise on screen quality, performance, and battery life, but not so with the recently released Huawei MatePad 11.5. That's why I'm calling out this limited-time launch promotion on the new slate, which means you can get the Huawei MatePad 11.5 at Huawei for £299 (was £349).
The £50 discount comes in the form of a coupon code 'A50OFFMPTXZ' that can be applied at checkout. Even better, Huawei will also throw in a respectable M-Pencil 3 for no extra charge. That's a welcome addition, given that this is such a strong tablet for drawing and doodling. We especially love its 120Hz refresh rate and anti-glare screen, which makes it ideal for a wide range of applications.
Today's best Huawei tablet deal
Take advantage of the first deal on Huawei's latest 11.5-inch MatePad tablet. You can get a £50 discount with the coupon code 'A50OFFMPTXZ', but that's not all, as Huawei has also thrown in a free M-Pencil 3 for the digital artists out there. That's useful, given that we found this is a strong budget-friendly drawing tablet in our testing, thanks to the satisfying and responsive PaperMatte screen.
We might have only awarded the tablet 3.5 stars in our Huawei MatePad 11.5 review, but that doesn't mean this is a model worth skipping. In the list of pros, we called out its satisfying PaperMatte and 120Hz display, as well as its capable level of power and excellent battery life. Despite not being able to compete with the iPad, the MatePad still has a lot going for it – and it's available at a great low price with this launch promotion.
In terms of design, it might be a little more hefty than some of us would like, but it looks classy all the same. It also comes with a folding case/keyboard, so you can use it as a more traditional laptop when needed, too. The tablet includes 8GB of RAM and a Kirin 8020, octa-core chipset, which means it’s good enough for daily productivity and entertainment needs.
The free M-Pencil 3 is perfect for digital artists who can't afford the iPad or who prefer the Huawei OS. The pencil supports magnetic pairing and wireless charging, which makes for a pleasing user experience.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 is a reasonable performer as far as budget-friendly tablets go, but there are better options if you need more power and features. Head over to our best tablets buying guide for more options from Google, Samsung and Apple.
