Alongside Passenger, there are a bunch of other movies that will keep horror fans booked and busy throughout the month. It's actually one of the strongest line-ups I've seen in a while, and you bet I'll be watching all of these.
Liminal horrors, Backrooms and Exit 8, supernatural horror Hokum, and viral sensation Obsession are all out in May, each one of them offering a different story. The variety on offer is great, and there's plenty of original stories for us to dive into.
I've been excited by the marketing for Passenger so far, but with so much on offer, it's definitely going to have to keep working to stand out from the crowd when we're inundated by horror movie teasers over the coming weeks.
The synopsis for Passenger teases: "A few weeks into their van life adventure, a young couple witnesses an accident that leaves the driver dead. Soon, they're being pursued by a demonic stalker who's impossible to outrun and follows them wherever they go."

Passenger is playing on the fear of a demon that latches onto its subject, becoming a literal "passenger", with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark's André Øvredal directing it. It definitely has the potential to be good, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
