Olympus mju 850 SW review

We prepare to dive in with Olympus' fully waterproof compact

TechRadar Verdict

There’s a lot to be said for having a camera you don’t need to be too ‘precious’ with. This Olympus can certainly take the knocks, in or out of the water. However, for outright image quality, it’s not really a match for some of the latest similarly priced cameras.

An errant splash can spell instant death for most digital cameras, water and electronics being a combination that's even less compatible than chalk and cheese.

The Olympus mju 850 SW sets out to change all that. Not only is it ruggedised to offer a degree of shock resistance such that you can drop it from a height of 1.5 metres, but it's also fully waterproof.
