Dyson has launched an early Black Friday sale with some seriously strong discounts on cordless vacuums. If you want to push the boat out on an ultra hi-tech model, you, of course, have plenty of options. Still, the deals that caught my eye were at the simpler end of the lineup – specifically, three of Dyson's lightweight, less-flashy vacuums have had major discounts on their already affordable price tags.

The best deal is on the V12 Detect Slim, which is down to $399.99 (was $729.99) at Dyson. This vacuum is actually surprisingly advanced, given its price and weight – it offers automatic suction adjustment and has a secondary floorhead that's kitted out with a laser to illuminate hidden dirt. If you want the lightest and cheapest option, however, it's the Dyson V9 Motorbar for $269.99 (was $599.99). You can also pick up the V8 Advanced for a bargain price right now.

What do I need to know about these vacuums?
While they're not the highest-specced models in the lineup, the models I've highlighted above are the best Dyson vacuums for smaller homes or anyone on a tighter budget. All offer solid suction specs and Dyson's high build quality in a lightweight and nimble package.
The V8 is the oldest model in the current Dyson lineup, and the Advanced is a slightly updated version with stronger suction specs than the original. It's very simple in design but remains extremely popular.
The Dyson V12 Detect Slim joined the lineup alongside the V15 Detect in 2021, and has some of the same advanced features as that model while being more compact and affordable.
The Dyson V9 Motorbar is a new addition to the range and looks to offer something for more budget-conscious buyers. It's already attracted a number of discounts.
