Anyone who's feeling down about their home décor should get themselves down to IKEA pronto. The Swedish homeware specialist's new Grejsimojs range is just about the happiest, most cheerful collection of gadgets and furnishings I've seen.
While it might be technically geared mainly towards children's rooms, I feel there are very few of us whose homes (and moods) would not be improved by a cactus coat rack or a floor lamp that looks like a sleepy giraffe.
These gadgets might look playful, but there are plenty of thoughtful touches that make them a practical choice too. The dimmable dog-shaped lamp has a glare free-bulb and setting memory function that means it'll return to your last-used brightness level when you switch it on. And the mouse-shaped Bluetooth speaker can be hooked up to multiple others to enable you to create a whole friendly rodent symphony.
The links directly below are for US shoppers, but UK shoppers can hop down the page to shop the range. And in the UK, from now until the end of the 26th April, IKEA will be donating £1 from every sale every Grejsimojs product to the Baby Bank Alliance, which helps provide essential items for babies and children to families in need.
