Ikea's new smart donut lamp — the one that everyone fell in love with at CES — is now available to buy. The curvy, tactile Varmblixt is already proving a winner, thanks to its curvy, tactile matte finish, the myriad color options (accessible via a companion app) and the fact it can function as a wall light or a table lamp.
It's far from the only great light to grace the Swedish homeware titan's labyrinthine display warehouses, though. The news of the Varmblixt's early availability sent me down an Ikea lighting rabbit hole, and if donuts aren't your jam, there are tons of quirky alternatives to choose from.

New to the lineup are an ultra-affordable, motion-sensor Ankarlägg night light that looks like a cartoon lightbulb, and the Småsnöre bendy, color-change LED lightstrips you can sucker onto your shelves or surfaces. And if you like the donut shape but don't need the smart functionality, the the amber-hued, original Varmblixt version is pretty sweet, too.
