Ever since I heard that Tiimo won the iPhone App of the Year 2025, I’ve been desperate to give it a go. Described as the visual planner for every neurotype, Tiimo is designed to address the core challenges of executive functioning so you can stay focused, get organized, and achieve what you want.
Full disclosure from the outset: I’m not neurodivergent, and I won’t pretend to be able to speak for those who are. I do have close family members who are, and I appreciate how difficult they find it to stay on task. From reading people’s comments, I know many people with neurodivergency have found the app very helpful.
What I experience in terms of focus challenges is not as extreme as many, but I do still struggle to keep my mind trained on one task for an extended period of time. Every day is packed full of jobs that need doing, and if I don’t have a system for managing that, then things get missed, and important items fall by the wayside.

Over the years, I’ve made use of other apps, including Todoist, Asana, and Google Tasks, but until trying Tiimo, I didn’t realize how good a schedule planner really could be. Tiimo turns to-dos into doable plans with visual timelines, and it does it effortlessly. Thanks to AI and an intuitive interface, users can plan their lives while avoiding all the complexities often associated with schedule management.
Co-planner takes the stress away
The beauty of Tiimo lies in the fact that you don’t have to hold everything you need to do inside your head. I know that for me, there’s a direct correlation between what I have sitting in my head and my stress levels. And it’s not always about getting that long list complete; sometimes it’s enough just to know that I have a plan to action those things at a specific point in time.
That’s where the Tiimo co-planner comes to the rescue. All you have to do is give the app a brain dump of what you have to get done, and co-planner will turn your ideas into structured tasks, break them into steps, and estimate how long each one takes so you can stop overthinking and start doing.
These tasks are placed into your calendar with customizable icons, colors, and layouts that reflect how you work best. I’d highly recommend taking time to personalize your planner so that using the app is a pleasant experience rather than a begrudged necessity.

Realistic timescales planned for you
One of the challenges with planning our time can be a poor understanding of how long jobs will take. I’m always wildly optimistic about what I’ll get done in any given period of time, and that doesn’t serve me well when I end up planning more in my day than I can feasibly get done.
Tiimo takes care of this by offering task-specific time estimates so that your plans are smarter and overcommitting is avoided. You can easily adjust this after your lists are set up, but it’s great to have a realistic starter. I actually ended up putting more ‘breathing room’ into my schedule so that there was more space for plans to change.
One such example was that Tiimo had given me 15 minutes to pick up the kids, but I needed 25 minutes instead. Rather than going into the task and adjusting it manually, all I had to do was tell the conversational assistant that I needed to make the change, and it took care of it for me. It even offered to reshuffle my tasks so that I could fit everything in!
A planner that responds to you
The reality is that our plans are often interrupted and need to change at a moment’s notice. In traditional planning apps, this would necessitate carrying out a lot of manual changes, such as moving items around and adjusting timescales. Not so with Tiimo.
When your plans change, all you need to do is let the AI tool know, and it’ll rejig things for you. For example, I told it the following: “I’m running out of time, and my afternoon has been hijacked by other plans. Can you rejig what I was due to be doing?”
Tiimo took care of this by prioritizing my tasks and moving some of those important jobs to later in the day. There was still a little bit of manual shifting required, but it was nice that Tiimo was there to help me out in a moment of need.
