The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 smart glasses just got their first-ever discount in the Memorial Day sales
A record-low price for the improved and upgraded model
Sunglasses just got smarter. And if that sounds cool to you, as part of this year's Memorial Day sales, you can get these Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) Wayfarer Smart Glasses at Amazon for $390.15 (was $459). That's a record-low price for both sun protection and AI integration.
The Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Smart Glasses combine the flattering frame of Ray-Ban's signature Wayfarer sunglasses with Meta AI technology, so you can take photos, answer calls, and listen to music while wearing them.
What's more, this is the first deal we've seen on these new-gen smart glasses — and we're not sure the next time they will ever go on sale. It could be during Black Friday, but then who wants to buy sunglasses in the middle of November?
Today's best smart glasses deal
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 Wayfarer Smart Glasses are a great choice for anyone who likes wearing sunglasses but wants the perks of an AI-powered wearable. Just like wireless earbuds, you can listen to music and talk on the phone, but you can also take POV photos and videos in 3K. It's a smart time to buy as they've just got their first-ever discount in the Memorial Day sales and we've got the incoming sunshine during late spring and early summer.
We haven't published an official review for the latest Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer. However, one of our writers (who also owned the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 1 Wayfarer Glasses) wrote about his time with the Gen 2 glasses. He had praise for the style, battery that lasts up to eight hours with mixed use, and improved video from the last-gen model.
The camera really sets the Ray-Ban Wayfarer apart from your average smart glasses. It has the same 12MP ultrawide camera as Gen 1, but now has 3K video, which is double the resolution of the Gen 1 pair. Just note you have to enable the 3K in the settings, since it isn't enabled by default.
Also, while the audio features work well without direct contact with your ear, they can't beat the quality or ANC of the best wireless earbuds.
In addition to these Ray-Bans, I'd recommend any of our best smart glasses, including the top AI and AR glasses we could find.
