I've looked through hundreds of gaming laptop deals -this RTX 5070 gaming laptop for just $1,099 is my top pick for Labor Day
With $400 off, you won't find a better bang for the buck than this

Walmart’s Labor Day sale is in full swing, and one of the standout offers right now is the MSI Katana 15 gaming laptop for just $1,099 (down from $1,499).
This isn’t your average mid-range gaming machine - inside you’ll find Nvidia’s latest RTX 5070 GPU paired with the powerful Intel Core i7-14650HX processor, making it a seriously capable setup at this price point. In fact, I've looked through hundreds of deals today, and this is easily the best value gaming laptop I've found.
It’s rare to see a gaming laptop with this kind of performance under $1,100, which makes it an especially tempting pick for those who want high-end gaming without overspending. While it ships with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, the memory is easy to upgrade if you’d like to future-proof your system even further. With just a small boost, you’ll have a laptop that can comfortably handle today’s biggest titles and keep up for years to come.
Cheap RTX 5070 gaming laptop deal at Walmart
Graphics card: RTX 5070
Processor: Intel Core i7-14650HX
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB
Walmart has just listed a huge price cut on this MSI Katana 15 gaming laptop – just in time for Labor Day. At $1,099, this is one of the cheapest machines I've ever seen to carry a higher-end RTX 5070 graphics card, and you also get a superb 14th-gen Core i7 chipset for good measure. While you'll likely want to upgrade to 32GB of RAM to unleash this laptop's full potential, this is a fantastic bang-for-the-buck 1440p gaming machine.
Walmart is currently throwing in a free copy of Battlefield 6 with this machine as part of a tie-in with the Intel Gamer Days event. That's just the cherry on top here, though, as this machine is wildly good value regardless of the freebie or not. For the record, this MSI Katana easily meets the recommended requirements for Battlefield 6, so you can expect smooth frame rates for sure.
Note, it's not just Walmart offering excellent gaming laptop deals over Labor Day. If you're interested, I've rounded up a few alternative options to check out just below.

Looking for something a little more powerful? My other favorite gaming laptop deal at Dell today is for this upgraded Aurora 16X. With an Ultra 9 and RTX 5070 graphics card, this one is all set for smooth frame rates at 1440p resolution for a few years. It's not cheap, but a $350 price cut definitely makes this a very competitive choice right now in the mid-range gaming laptop deals market.
