Taylor Sheridan can write female characters annoyingly well, and never has that been more apparent than in The Madison.
The Paramount+ exclusive wrapped up its first season on March 21, which followed Stacy Clyburn (Michelle Pfeiffer), a well-to-do New Yorker who comes from the Upper East Side social scene, and is frankly rolling in money. She's married to Preston (Kurt Russell), a reluctant city bod who wants nothing more than to retreat to the cabins he's built in the Montana wilderness.
After a family tragedy, the entire gang is uprooted, including begrudging daughters and grandchildren who have clearly never seen a blade of grass in their lives. What ensues is a messy outpouring of grief, loss, and love that immediately tugs at the heartstrings.

There's still a lot up in the air, but here's what we know about The Madison season 2 so far.
The Madison season 2 release window predictions
Not only is The Madison season 2 confirmed, but it sounds like it's already been filmed as well.
“We shot season 2 already,” star Ben Schnetzer told Woman's World. “We just wrapped it not long ago, and I’m incredibly excited to share both seasons with an audience. It was a real thrill to be able to come back and revisit these characters and revisit this story, and revisit this beautiful landscape that we filmed in.”

This is an advantage that a Sheridan show in the same position, Landman season 3, doesn't have. While a third season was confirmed during the release of the second, none of it has been filmed.
With that in mind, we could see the return of The Madison season 2 before Landman season 3, but it's anybody's guess as to when. It could be as soon as Fall 2026, but my money is on Spring 2027.
The Madison season 2 trailer: is there one?
Don't be silly. It took us until the end of February 2026 to get one for season 1, so expect the first full trailer to arrive around two weeks before the second season does.
The Madison season 2 cast
We're expecting the following main cast members to return for The Madison season 2:
- Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn
- Patrick J. Adams as Russell McIntosh
- Elle Chapman as Paige McIntosh
- Beau Garrett as Abigail Reese
- Amiah Miller as Brigitte Reese
- Alaina Pollack as Macy Reese
- Kevin Zegers as Cade
- Danielle Vasinova as Kestrel
- Ben Schnetzer as Van
- Rebecca Spence as Liliana
- Will Arnett as Stacy's therapist
The question marks are around Kurt Russell and Matthew Fox, whose characters die in episode 1. We continue to see them in flashback form throughout the series, but whether this will be the case in season 2 remains to be seen.
We can also expect new faces to join the cast, so watch this space.
The Madison season 2 plot predictions
As boring as it might sound, we can likely expect more of the same in The Madison season 2. Grief is a never-ending thing, and the Clyburns will continue to soar and burn in Preston's absence.
We know that their relocation to Montana is permanent, so getting to grips with a wilder way of life will be a high priority. Stacy's relationship with her daughters will likely be as fraught as ever, and a transitional period of leaving her New York life officially behind will probably throw up some new feelings too.
As we saw in season 1, Abigail and Van look to be a will-they-won't-they TV relationship that will last for years, so buckle up for more fiery passion there.
Of course, as they settle into the community, new faces will likely test them in unexpected ways.
