Boult today launched the AirBass Encore X affordable earbuds in India for a price of Rs 1,799. The Indian audio electronics manufacturer has confirmed that the device will be available in both White and Black colour options.

When it comes to specifications, the Boult AirBass Encore X earbuds feature a 10mm audio driver that is tuned by the company for a power bass experience.

The TWS also come with quad mics which contribute to the company’s new Environmental Noise Cancellation with Pro+ calling experience that helps to keep background noise to a minimum.

Other specifications of the Boult AirBass Encore X include IPX5 water resistance making it easily usable in gyms and outdoor environments.

In terms of design, the AirBass Encore X share the same design as the company’s Propods and Gearpods line of TWS earbuds. Each of the earbuds has a long stem with touch-sensitive controls at the top which can be used to control audio playback, invoke either Google Assistant or Siri depending on the device paired and also answer or end calls.

The Boult AirBass Encore X supports Bluetooth 5.1 and is compatible with Android as well as Apple devices. The exact specifications of the battery within the case and the earbuds are unclear, however, the company claims that the TWS earbuds can be fully charged 5 times for a total of up to 30 hours of playback time.

The case can be topped up via a Type-C cable even with a 5W or 10W charger. According to the company, the AirBass ENCore X provides 100 minutes of usage with a 10-minute charge.

Boult’s AirBass Encore X is already available for purchase on the company’s online store, but will also be available through Amazon from April 8 at the same price of Rs 1,799. The company is also providing a standard 1-year warranty for the earbuds.

Another TWS in the ocean of budget offerings

While there are more premium offerings like Oppo’s Enco Air 2 that offer a more premium audio quality at a marginally higher price point, the ongoing competition between Boat and Boult Audio is clearly visible now that the Encore X is launched.

Boult’s new earbuds are an answer to Boat’s Airdopes 411 ANC which was the latter’s more affordable TWS with the noise cancellation technology that was launched recently in India.
