If you need a laptop that delivers elite processing power without sacrificing battery performance, then shooting for either the Dell XPS 14 or Dell XPS 13 is what I'd recommend. We rated both laptops 4.5 stars and praised their long-lasting battery life, stunning displays, and powerful processors.

The XPS 14 is ideal for users craving portability and are unwilling to compromise on the processor. This laptop features a fantastic Series 3 Intel Core Ultra X9 processor that delivers outstanding results. You can own the XPS 14 for $2,899.99, although you can adjust the spec to reduce the price a little.

At the other end of the price spectrum is the XPS 13, which costs just $699.99 or $599.99 if you're a student. It's slightly smaller and therefore even more portable and packs an Intel Core processor. We love the high-resolution 13.4-inch touch display, which makes it one of the most versatile options around.

Our top Dell pick

Dell XPS 14
Dell XPS 14: $2,899.99

Portable laptops don't come much more premium than this. Not only does it boast a bright 14-inch display, but it also packs a Series 3 Intel Core Ultra X9 processor. That means you'll get awesome performance for creation, productivity, gaming, and more. The icing on the cake is the 31 hours of battery life delivered from the high energy density batteries and power-efficient panels.

Dell XPS 13
Dell XPS 13: $699.99

If you'd still like a premium laptop but without the seriously high price tag, then the XPS 13 is worth a look. It's even available for $599.99 if you're a student. The battery life is not quite as long, and the CPU is not as powerful, but the specs are still pretty impressive. In fact, we called it a "powerhouse ultrabook" and "one of the best laptops money can buy."
