The academic term might have only just begun, but if you're still looking for the ideal laptop to get you through your studies, then checking out the full range of Dell laptops is a great place to start. With a broad array of Windows laptops, 2-in-1s, gaming laptops, and more, you're sure to find a spec that suits your needs at a price that fits your budget.

To help you in your search, let me recommend a couple of options. The first is the Dell XPS 13, which at just $599.99 is an incredible bargain. It boasts a 4.5 star rating, features an Intel Core processor, and has a gorgeous 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution touch display. It's also Dell's thinnest and lightest laptop ever.

If you're looking for a slightly larger display and a superior Intel Core Ultra 5 322 processor, then the Dell 14S for only $1399.99 is a super offering. It's not quite as portable as the XPS 13, but it's not far off, and it's more than portable for when you're moving between home and classes.

Buying the right laptop is not an easy decision, but with these two picks you're getting a great blend of performance, portability, and price. Read on to find out about our top two student picks.

Our top Dell pick

Dell XPS 13: $599.99

The XPS 13 ordinarily costs $699, but until November 2 students can snap it up for just $599. When we reviewed it, we concluded that it was "one of the best laptops money can buy," and thanks to the Dell and Intel combo, this is a "powerhouse ultrabook." With this spec and at this price, it's a worthy alternative to the MacBook Neo.

Dell 14S
Dell 14S: $1,399.99

For very similar portability but superior processing performance, you could go for the Dell 14S. It still boasts a high-resolution display that is compact enough to fit in your bag, but most importantly, it features a Series 3 Intel Core Ultra processor with built-in AI. This is the multitasker's dream and a great choice for students.
