New specs about the Apple iPhone 3GS have emerged, including confirmation of a real speed boost under the hood.
T-Mobile in the Netherlands decided to publish the stats, although it seems that it has since taken down said specifics.
However screengrabs have been taken of the original page, and show that 256MB of RAM are packed under the chassis, as well as a 600MHz processor.
New graphics power
That's a decent increase over the original 128MB RAM and 412MHz processor from the iPhone 3G, as well as the new PowerVR SGX graphics chip the new iPhone 3GS is packing.
Apparently the new iPod touch has an upgrade on the processing front as well, with 532MHz of power chugging away providing tunes and videos.
The nice thing about this fact is that a leaked spec sheet from China a month ago turned out to be true - given the amount of rumours and speculation that turn out to be nonsense, it's nice to know some leaks turn out to be correct.
Anyway, get your new iPhone 3GS on 19 June, if you haven't got an iPhone 3G (as upgrading will be very expensive). Apple says the S stands for speed, and a faster processor certainly helps that.
