AeroPress has given its premium coffee maker a makeover for National Coffee Day – and I want it in my kitchen now

Tomorrow (September 28) is National Coffee Day, and to celebrate, AeroPress has just launched two new versions of its portable coffee maker. The new Premium White and Premium Black editions are available now from Williams Sonoma, and direct from AeroPress.

Although I spend hours each week testing the best coffee makers from big brands like De'Longhi and Breville, packed with features like automatic pre-infusion, rapid cold-brewing, and professional-quality grinders, the classic AeroPress is still one of my go-to options when I want to brew a cup in a hurry. It's also one of my favorite camping coffee makers because it's so lightweight and quick.

If you're not familiar with it, the AeroPress is a hand-operated coffee brewer that uses air pressure for extraction. Just add a small filter paper and your coffee grounds, pour in hot water, then push down the plunger once it's infused to your liking.

Depending on the ratio of coffee to water, you can create a drink similar to French press or espresso, or use cold water to make cold-infused coffee for iced drinks and cocktails (just make sure to stir it briskly before plunging for the best flavor).

Delicious coffee for less

The AeroPress Premium is a more elegant version of the original, made using glass, stainless steel, and aluminum rather than plastic. It's BPA-free, and has a 10pz capacity (enough to make one or two cups, depending on which style of coffee you choose).

There's no need to worry about breakages or heat – the coffee maker's body is made from double-walled borosilicate glass for strength and insulation, keeping your coffee hot and your hands cool.
