There has been no shortage of excellent TV deals at Best Buy over the past few months, but I've just spotted another excellent discount on one of our favorite TVs here at TechRadar.

It's this 75-inch Hisense U8 Series Mini LED for $1,298.99 (was $2,499), which isn't just a great price for a larger 75-inch model, but a fine choice if you're looking for a premium option without breaking the bank.

In our Hisense U8QG review, we found this model to be an outstanding choice for the money with vastly improved brightness and picture quality versus the previous iteration. Despite its price, you get a compelling mix of features, including support for 4K gaming at a 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+.

That makes it a good choice for everything from the latest games to movies and shows, which will look fantastic on this model's large 75-inch display.

Hisense U8QG 75-inch Mini LED 4K TV: was $2,499.99 now $1,298.99 at Best Buy

One of Best Buy's best TV deals is a massive $1,200 off the Hisense U8QG — one of our favorite mid-range models. In our review, we praised it for its incredibly bright and colorful picture, as well as its refined local dimming, which resulted in deep and detailed shadows. It's a great all-around TV for watching sports and movies, and with three HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K 165Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro, and Dolby Vision and HDR10+ gaming. It's also an excellent choice for gamers.

The Hisense U8QG is actually featured on our best TVs guide as the best TV you can buy under $1,000. We tested the smaller 55-inch model, so today's deal on the larger 75-inch is obviously a little more pricey. Our praise of this model remains unchanged, however, as it's still a great buy for the money.

For one, the picture is extremely bright even by mini-LED TV standards. These displays are known for their brightness and pop, but the U8QG’s Anti-Reflection Pro screen makes it a great option for watching sports in bright rooms.

The U8QG offers wide-ranging HDR support, with Dolby Vision, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10, HDR 10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, and HLG formats all covered. It's also a great TV for gaming, with three HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K 165Hz, FreeSync Premium Pro, and both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ gaming.

Our only real criticism of the U8QG is that we found the built-in subwoofer to be a little underwhelming when handling heavy bass. It tended to distort a little during our testing, so we'd recommend pairing it up with one of the best soundbars for the best results.
