With the United States set to face Belgium tomorrow in its toughest match-up yet, World Cup fever has officially taken hold in the nation. And what better way to tune in to the rest of the tournament's games than with a huge, premium, and surprisingly cheap TV?

Over at Best Buy today, you can pick up the 77-inch LG B5 OLED TV for just $1,499 (was $2,999) thanks to a last-minute deal from the retailer. That's a deal that's just $100 more than the record low for a TV we rate as one of the best-value OLED TVs you can buy right now.

In terms of picture quality and size, you won't find a better deal than the LG B5 right now for the World Cup - or any sporting event, for that matter. It's not one of the brand's highest-end models, but this TV strikes a fine balance among features, price, and overall picture quality. If you've never had an OLED TV before, expect to be really impressed here, especially at this price.

The LG B5 is this year's best budget OLED TV, and Best Buy's Tech Fest sale has a massive 53% discount on the 77-inch model. Released last year, the LG B5 is TechRadar's best budget OLED TV and was awarded four and a half stars in our review. The LG display delivers an exceptional picture with brilliant colors and sharp contrast. You also get excellent gaming features, thanks to the four HDMI 2.1 ports and new AI tools, including AI Search, AI Concierge, and an improved AI Chatbot.

This TV scored an impressive 4.5 stars out of 5 in our LG B5 review because it does a surprisingly good job covering all the bases of the more expensive LG C5 and G5 models at a fraction of the price.

If you've never tried an OLED TV, the B5 is a great place to start; you get all the OLED-level picture quality you could want here. That means inky blacks, vibrant colors, and images that really pop on-screen.

While it's not the brightest OLED TV we've ever tested, it's an impressive TV nonetheless, not just for sports but for gaming too. For example, its four HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K 120Hz, FreeSync and G-Sync, HGiG, Dolby Vision gaming, and ALLM, and it measures 9.1ms input lag with the Boost Mode function.

With a whopping $1,500 off, today's discount at Best Buy makes a lot of sense if you're looking for a huge big-screen TV for all the above. Annoyingly, the smaller 65-inch variant isn't on sale today, so it's go big or go home with today's deals at Best Buy.
