Discover the Sustainability Awards 2025 winners, as chosen by our expert judges

We love tech, but it’s not always great for the planet. From endless device upgrades to energy-hungry data centers, the industry has a big sustainability problem. But the good news? Change is happening. And we want to celebrate that.
With that in mind, we’re delighted to announce the official winners of the TechRadar Sustainability Awards 2025, an initiative that sees our team of tech experts combine with our partners at Seismic to celebrate tech companies making real progress towards sustainability.
This year marks our first full Sustainability Awards following our mini Sustainability Hero Awards last year, and we’re thrilled to have seen so many fantastic entrants. From agile start-ups to big players in the industry, tech companies of all shapes and sizes shared their efforts with our expert judging panel; we hope you’ll join us in congratulating all participants for tackling this huge undertaking.

Of 2025’s winners, our Global Editor-in-Chief Marc Mclaren says: “Sustainability is close to our hearts at TechRadar, so we’re delighted to honor so many outstanding entrants in this year’s Awards. The eight winners below are all doing truly great work in helping to make tech greener – whether by cutting their own emissions, reducing e-waste or helping consumers to do their own bit for the environment. If every tech company made as much effort as our winners, we’d all be further along the path towards a sustainable future. Congratulations to all of them.”
Due to the fantastic number of entrants, we’ve split some categories out to award companies under our TechRadar Pro banner, in addition to our regular winners. So without further ado, here are our winners for the TechRadar Sustainability Awards 2025.
Energy Efficiency & Impact
Acer
"Acer has long been a leading brand for sustainability in the computing industry, and it’s one of those companies that actually walks the walk when it comes to its green policies. Its ‘Earthion’ program, launched in 2021, sees Acer work with suppliers and partners to make its supply chain more sustainable, with everything from energy to logistics and even its packaging getting attention. Acer’s transparency over its environmental impact, and its ambitious goals to continue to minimize this, are great to see, and makes the company a worthy winner in this category."

"Acer’s win reflects the brand’s long-standing commitment to sustainability. It’s set clear science-based targets for all three emissions scopes and achieved reductions year-on-year, through strategic investments in renewables and energy-saving systems, alongside intentional product design. By actively tackling Scope 3 emissions – a challenging area in tech – it sets a strong example, showing that real environmental impact comes from taking responsibility across the full value chain.”
– Olivia Hill, Head of Sustainability Communications, Seismic
“At Acer, sustainability is embedded in everything we do, from product design and packaging to our operations and partnerships. Being recognised by TechRadar’s Sustainability Awards is a great honour and a testament to the progress we’ve made in reducing our environmental footprint while enabling customers to achieve more with less impact on the planet. This award motivates us to continue innovating with purpose, expanding initiatives such as our Earthion platform and eco-friendly product lines. We’re proud to be part of a community driving meaningful change in technology for a more sustainable future.”
– Valerie Piau, - Acer - Vice-President EMEA Marketing, eStore & New Business
Eizo (TechRadar Pro)
"Eizo has been at the forefront of display technology for decades with avant-garde products that excel not only in performance but also in sustainability and environmental impact. I’ve used Eizo monitors (both CRT and LCD) for years and can attest to the company's focus on delivering products that last. Its standard five-year warranty on its monitor is stellar, as is its Second Life programme, which helps minimize the damage caused by discarded monitors."
– Desire Athow, Managing Editor, TechRadar Pro
"Eizo prioritises energy efficiency at every level, from designing monitors with built-in energy-saving technology and long lifespans, to reducing emissions and waste across its own operations. This joined-up approach is backed by certifications such as TCO and EcoVadis, giving customers confidence that the brand's impact is both credible and measurable. The FlexScan range stands out, delivering lower-power consumption without compromising performance, and helping businesses achieve their own sustainability goals."
– Niamh McKenzie, Sustainability Consultant, Seismic
Circular Design & Product Longevity
Bang & Olufsen
"Bang & Olufsen wins this award having entered and won our initial Sustainability Hero awards last year, and that’s because it’s kept pushing its focus on circularity, demonstrating stand-out leadership when it comes to tech sustainability. It launched its second Cradle-to-Cradle Certified product this year, has begun the process of Life Cycle Assessments for its devices, and is succeeding in reducing its carbon emissions – with bold (and validated by the SBTi) targets for further reductions planned for its future. When you add in its well-demonstrated commitment to updating or repairing older products, Bang & Olufsen sets a standard for building tech in a way that has genuine longevity and sustainability in mind."
– Matt Bolton, Managing Editor, Entertainment, TechRadar
“Bang & Olufsen's design has always been timeless – but now it’s going further by leading on circularity. With eight products already certified under the ambitious Cradle-to-Cradle program (and more on the way!), the luxury audio brand is ensuring its products can be reused, repaired and even adapted for future technologies. Alongside its 'Recreated Classics' collection, Bang & Olufsen is proving that high-quality, desirable products can be made to last a lifetime.”
– Liz Naven, Senior Sustainability Communications Manager, Seismic
Digital Inclusion
Back Market
"Back Market’s whole business as a retailer and recycler of used technology products obviously puts it in good standing from the start as it helps to reduce e-waste – but it wins an award for just how well and how deeply it meets its sustainability commitments. We were particularly impressed with its innovations and development around repairing tech to make sure it can be re-sold and re-used, and ensuring that the products it sells are of high quality, adding scale and taking used tech into the mainstream. We were also impressed with its targets and commitments towards reducing carbon emissions, water use and raw materials, and it stands out as a leader in social operational practice, all in addition to its work with the government on further e-waste reduction policies."
– Matt Bolton, Managing Editor, Entertainment, TechRadar
“Back Market's win for Digital Inclusion is a great example of a company creating a positive impact on multiple fronts. By championing refurbished technology, it makes high-quality devices more affordable and accessible to a wider audience, while also directly tackling the pressing issues of e-waste and carbon emissions. Its commitment is further evidenced through partnerships with organisations such as Emmaüs Connect and CFA Ducretet, which help to empower communities with essential digital skills and career opportunities.”
– Andy Schmidt, Cofounder and Chief Community Officer, Seismic
Klyk (TechRadar Pro)
"E-waste is a massive problem for the world, so Klyk’s mission to help businesses recycle and reuse their IT kit is to be commended. The company claims that 160,000 laptops are thrown away each day in the EU alone, but it wants to change that – and much more – via its circular approach to IT. Recycling hardware is nothing new, of course, but where Klyk stands out is through its holistic approach, which sees it not only supply businesses with recycled devices, but also ensures that staff always have the right kit for their needs and that old devices aren’t just dumped but are instead put to good use elsewhere. Companies working with Klyk praise the way it helps them save money as well as reducing their carbon footprint – and in the business world, anything that can do both will always stand out."
– Marc McLaren, Global Editor-in-Chief, TechRadar
"Klyk is making high-quality refurbished technology a viable mainstream option for businesses. Its solutions deliver significant cost savings and environmental benefits, while also tackling the digital divide. Launching London’s first dedicated IT recycling facility has made it straightforward for businesses to recycle old devices and maximize value through repair or refurbishment. Meanwhile, through donations and partnerships with fellow B Corps such as Lily’s Kitchen and Candy Kittens, Klyk is turning unused tech into a lifeline for young people, aiming to donate 15,000 devices by 2030.”
– Liz Naven, Senior Sustainability Communications Manager, Seismic
"We’re delighted to be announced as winners at the TechRadar Sustainability Awards 2025. Zahid and I are so thankful to TechRadar and Seismic for this recognition — it’s a fantastic validation of the journey we’re on with Klyk. It’s also great to be recognised alongside such great brands doing brilliant things in sustainability across the tech industry. We’re proud to be part of this movement and excited to keep pushing circular IT forward”
– Asad Hamir, Co-Founder, Klyk
Ethical Materials & Responsible Sourcing
Belkin
"Belkin takes a highly commendable approach to sustainability, scoring well among our judges for its deeply embedded approach. Having spoken with the brand before about its efforts in R&D and consumer education, I'm delighted to see that behind closed doors, that thread of care for the environment, consumers and Belkin's own staff continues. Belkin is a deserving winner operating a high-impact area of tech, and it just goes to show that being large-scale is no excuse for a low-effort approach to sustainability."
– Josephine Watson, Managing Editor, Lifestyle, TechRadar
“Where many companies limit their sustainability efforts to a single product line, Belkin has embedded environmental responsibility across its entire ecosystem. There’s no ‘green’ collection; instead the leading consumer electronics brand has taken the more challenging but impactful route of transitioning its bestsellers to post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials, without compromising on performance or safety. Its extensive R&D has delivered clear, quantifiable results; in 2024 it replaced 210 metric tonnes of virgin plastic with PCR and eliminated 89% of plastic packaging.”
– Andy Schmidt, Cofounder and Chief Community Officer, Seismic
Tech for Good
With so many fantastic entrants to this highly competitive category, we've split out the winners; one for hardware, one for software.
Tab for a Cause
"Tab for a Cause is an excellent example of how crowdsourced philanthropy can go the distance, and especially when you make it passive. Just by opening tabs, users can contribute towards positive social impact, and the results speak for themselves; $2 million raised since it launched in 2011 just from new tabs opened is an incredible achievement, especially from such a small team."
– Josephine Watson, Managing Editor, Lifestyle, TechRadar
“Tab for a Cause proves that small, everyday actions can drive meaningful change, empowering users to effortlessly support their favourite causes through routine web browsing. With nearly $2 million raised for non-profits and thousands of first-time donors engaged, the platform turns daily digital activity into a tool for social good. Transparent reporting ensures users can see exactly how much reaches each charity.”
– Niamh McKenzie, Sustainability Consultant, Seismic
Vitesy
"With a big focus on finding solutions to the everyday sustainability challenges faced by consumers, Vitesy shows strong performance in R&D, but also in improving and offering transparency for its own impact. Having tried two Vitesy products myself, it's really exciting to see how the brand is innovating with materials and tech, especially its washable photocatalytic filters. I can't wait to see what it tackles next."
– Josephine Watson, Managing Editor, Lifestyle, TechRadar
“Vitesy's ‘Shelfy’ is a brilliant example of using innovation to tackle everyday environmental challenges. It provides a practical solution to food waste, a problem costing UK households an average of £470 each year. Shelfy’s unique photocatalytic technology slows the ripening process, reduces bacteria by 99% and extends the shelf life of food by up to 12 days. The device has also been thoughtfully designed, with a rechargeable battery and washable filter to maximise energy efficiency and minimise waste.”
– Olivia Hill, Head of Sustainability Communications, Seismic
“We’re honoured that Shelfy has been recognized by TechRadar in the Sustainability Awards. At Vitesy, our mission is to create practical, innovative solutions that make sustainable living easier for everyone. Food waste is a major global challenge, and with Shelfy we wanted to help households cut waste, save money, and reduce their environmental impact. This award is a wonderful recognition of our team’s work and motivates us to keep innovating with technology and design to deliver even greater positive change.”
– Paolo Ganis, Founder, Vitesy
