Buying an iPad? These are the early Black Friday deals I recommend at Amazon
The best iPads don't come cheap, but you can save some serious money on Apple's premium tablets thanks to seasonal sale events like Black Friday.
• Shop Amazon's full Black Friday sale
That's proving to be the case again this year, with early Black Friday iPad deals already offering great discounts on some of our favorite models at TechRadar. Amazon, in particular, has fantastic discounts today.
In the US, for instance, the brand new, M5-powered iPad Pro (2025) is just $925 (was $999), while UK shoppers can pick up the newest base iPad for as little as £299 (was £329). Both of these are great prices on the latest models, and a few of the slightly older (but still great) iterations are also on sale. Check out more details just below.
While you're here, check out our main Black Friday page for more recommendations from our team of experts. Also check out our Black Friday deals or Black Friday Apple deals pages for even more of today's best sales from leading retailers.

Apple's latest base iPad is on sale for $299 right now, which is $20 shy of its record-low price at Amazon. The most significant upgrade for this model versus the previous generation is the newer A16 chip for faster performance, but you'll also get double the storage as standard (128GB instead of 64GB). Other features include a sharp 11-inch Liquid Retina display and solid 12MP front and back cameras, which make this iPad the best iPad for casual streamers and scrollers. If Amazon's stock runs low, you can find the same deal at Best Buy.

Amazon has the newest iPad Air with the M3 chipset on sale for $549 right now, but given that we saw that price dip to $449 over Prime Day, we think it'll be improved in the coming weeks. This iPad features a crisp Liquid Retina display, 128GB of storage as standard, 12MP front and rear cameras, and support for Apple's AI features. Discounts are also available on the larger 13-inch model.

If you like the look of the iPad Air and know that you need the highest amount of storage, then last year's M2-powered model is worth considering. The 512GB Space Gray version is currently on sale for $784, which is $60 cheaper than Amazon's current deal on the M3-powered iPad Air in the same storage and color combination. On paper, the latter will be slightly faster and remain supported for an extra year, but most people won't notice that difference in performance, and you'll get at least six more years of support for the 2024 iPad Air.

Amazon's $1019.99 deal on the 11-inch cellular iPad Pro is the best on the internet right now. In our iPad Pro (2024) review (albeit for the 13-inch model), we describe Apple's 2024 flagship tablet as "the impossibly thin king of iPads – and maybe all tablets." Naturally, that level of quality comes at a premium, but Black Friday is a great time to snag a discount.

If you want one of the biggest and best iPads money can buy, Amazon has the iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) on sale for $1,049.99 right now. It's a mighty tablet and one that's all the more attractive with $250 off its price tag. This deal applies to both the 256GB and 512GB storage variants, in both colorways, while smaller savings are available on the larger capacity variants.

Amazon is already offering $74 off the newest iPad Pro, the iPad Pro 11-inch (2025). The main difference between this and the 2024 model is the former's M5 chipset, which, on paper, delivers faster CPU, GPU, and AI performance speeds over the M4 chipset. Will you notice that difference in reality? Probably not. So we suggest you pick whichever model is cheaper between the 2024 and 2025 iPad Pro.

The Apple Pencil Pro isn’t just the flagship Apple Pencil; with support for the iPad Pro and iPad Air, it offers an ultra-low latency experience to mimic writing or drawing with a pencil or pen on paper. You can also Squeeze the Apple Pencil Pro to pull up a palette for even more customization. Amazon's current $99 price is an almost-record-low (it was briefly $89 in October).

The new iPad Air is the closest thing you can get to an iPad Pro without having to pay upwards of £1,000, which is why we believe it's the best iPad for students in 2025. For almost half the price of Apple's professional-grade iPad, you'll get a beautiful Liquid Retina display, a MacBook-level M3 chipset, a landscape-oriented front-facing camera, and landscape stereo speakers with spatial audio. The larger 13-inch model is also on sale for £749 (was £799), and if Amazon's stock runs low, you can find the same deals at Very.

If you'd prefer a smaller iPad, Amazon's Black Friday sale has knocked £38 off the price of the M4-powered iPad mini. This small but welcome saving applies to the Starlight variant, but the Purple, Blue, and Space Grey variants have been discounted, too. In our Apple iPad mini A17 Pro (2024) review, we praised the new tablet's "pocket-friendly design" and "ability to support Apple Intelligence." Even if you can find the previous-gen iPad mini on sale for a cheaper price, we think this new model is the better, more future-proof buy.
