During the time I've spent testing wireless speakers for TechRadar, there's only a handful I've been as impressed with as the Sonos Era 300. So when I saw it has had it's price slashed ahead of the Labor Day sales, you better believe it got my attention.

If you're US based, you can currently pick up the Sonos Era 300 for $359 (was $449) at Amazon US, while those in the UK can get it for £349 (was £449) at Amazon UK.

Not only does this knock a massive $90 / £100 off the Spatial Audio-supporting speaker's price, it brings it down to its lowest price ever, making it a serious bargain. This discounted price covers both the black and white colorways, meaning it should sit right at home in your living room no matter your decor. And if you fancy setting up two Era 300s as a stereo pair, Amazon offers a similar discount on a two-pack, reducing them from $898 / £898 to $718 / £698.

Given I test wireless speakers for a living (and I've been reviewing audio gadgets for years) I'm no stranger to superb-sounding Wi-Fi-powered speakers. Despite this, there are few single-box solutions I've heard in that time that are quite so adept at handling immersive Dolby Atmos as the Sonos Era 300.

As we remarked in our 4.5-star Sonos Era 300 review, the speaker 'creates more space in your music' than anything else for the same price. Not only is its soundstage just staggeringly wide, managing an impressive stereo field, but it's able to create an impressive sense of depth as well, precisely positioning elements in the fore and background. It doesn't have quite as much sub bass as some of Sonos's earlier speakers and it's unforgiving with lower quality sources but, otherwise, it's great value – particularly with this 20% price reduction.
