In my Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 review, I heaped praise on this smaller-sized speaker for its "impressively powerful audio", "surprisingly good instrument separation", and "commendable levels of detail". Yes, if you're looking for great sound quality in a portable package, this model is well worth considering.

But after almost a year of using the Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2, I've come to appreciate a lot more than just its sonic capabilities. It has a handy companion app, making it easy to alter EQ whenever I need, for instance, a little more low-end power. On top of that, its IP67 dust and waterproof rating ensures that it can survive a dunking in a meter of water for up to 30 minutes – ideal for shower or poolside listening.

For less than $95 / £95, there aren't a whole lot of competitors that offer such good looks and sound in a single speaker. I've never spotted the SoundLink Flex Gen 2 on sale for less, so why not give it a go?
