  • A supposedly leaked render shows a curvier S Pen for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
  • This redesign is seemingly so it matches the phone's curvier corners
  • There are signs that the S Pen's days might be numbered

There were worries that Samsung might ditch the S Pen from the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. After all, the company dropped its support from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and removed its Bluetooth functionality with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. But not only does it now look like the S Pen will be sticking around – it’s also seemingly getting a stylish redesign.

Reputable tipster @UniverseIce has shared a render showing the top part of an S Pen inside what’s apparently the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

We only see a bit of the stylus here, but it’s a far curvier top than you’ll find on the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen, and it’s a change that – based on this image at least – we’re quite fond of.

This could be a necessary change, since rumors suggest the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra itself will have curvier corners – one of which you can also see here. So given the position of the S Pen’s slot, the stylus needs to be curvier too to match the phone’s design.

Of course, until Samsung unveils the Galaxy S26 Ultra we’d take all of this with a pinch of salt, but the source has a good track record.

This could be the S Pen's final outing

Still, even if the S Pen is retained on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, its days could be numbered. We wouldn’t be surprised if this is the last outing for Samsung’s stylus, given that its capabilities have already been reduced, and since the slot to house it takes up a lot of space that could be used for other components or a slimmer phone.

Ditching the S Pen might also allow Samsung to finally increase the battery capacity of its flagship, which apparently won’t be happening with the S26 Ultra.

But for next year’s model at least, S Pen fans will probably be in luck – we’ll likely find out for sure in January or February, as that’s probably when this phone will be unveiled.
