Dreame's new stick vacuum is absolutely desperate to get right under your sofa
The Dreame V20 Pro has the best edge-cleaning setup I've ever seen

- The Dreame V20 Pro has a telescopic wand that can also bend to 90 degrees
- A barrier on the floorhead senses when the vac is approaching an edge, then extends and drops down
- Designed to reach neglected spots in your home
Try as you might, there are some corners that end up getting missed when cleaning with a stick vacuum. But there's a new vacuum I've just seen at IFA 2025 that looks like it might finally be able to get into those neglected nooks and crannies.
It's the V20 Pro from Dreame. This brand's R20 vacuum sits right at the top of my best cordless vacuum ranking, so if you haven't heard the name before, it's worth paying attention.
The V20 Pro has a wand that bends forward so it's at a right angle to the handle, which means you can clean under furniture without having to bend right down. It's a feature we've seen before – many of the best Shark vacuums have forward-bending wands.
However, where the Dreame V20 Pro has the edge is that the wand is also telescopic, so it can extend three times to clean areas previously out of reach.
Add to that an innovative approach to edge cleaning. I watched as a Dreame representative approached the edge of some furniture with the V20 Pro – a barrier running along the front of the floorhead reached out and dropped down, sealing off the area and sucking everything within it up. The demo was on a curved edge, but this feature will really shine when tackling straight edges.
Together, it's a formidable setup. It looks like the hair and dust that's been happily hanging out along the baseboards beneath the back of your sofa is about to have its final reckoning.
