Prime Day marks the time for the best discounts on Amazon devices, including the home technology brand, Blink. Right now, you can get the Blink Video Doorbell from Amazon US for $34.99 (was $69.99) and from Amazon UK for 35.99 (was 59.99) – that's its lowest-ever price.

This latest Blink Video Doorbell comes in either black or white, and includes a Sync Module for managing Blink home devices. You need the module to use the doorbell, though, so it's not exactly something you can do without unless you have an old Sync Module you can use.

The Blink Video Doorbell has a few caveats, such as needing a subscription to save video footage to cloud storage, but it's a convenient and affordable option for first-time smart doorbell users.

The Blink Video Doorbell is one of the best starter doorbells. It comes with a Sync Module for managing Blink home devices and three AAA lithium batteries, which can last up to two years before needing a replacement. You can greet folks from the Blink app, talk to them with two-way audio, and view head-to-toe HD and infrared night vision at no additional cost. However, you need a Blink Subscription to save video footage directly to cloud storage. Right now, you get it at its lowest price yet and enjoy a 30-day Blink Subscription Plan trial along with it.

The Blink Video Doorbell is also at its lowest price in the UK, which is great news for folks who've been looking to try their first smart doorbell. This latest model comes with head-to-toe HD view, infrared night vision, two-way audio, and more that you'd want in a basic video doorbell. You can watch packages get delivered and answer the door in real-time from the Blink app, but you can't save footage without a Blink Subscription or an older Sync Module. Thankfully, you get a 30-day Blink Subscription Plan trial with your purchase, so you can try before you buy.

In our Blink Video Doorbell review, we highlight the easy setup, lengthy battery life, and head-to-toe capture as its biggest strengths. Older models already featured two AA lithium batteries that lasted up to two years, and the latest model has three AAA batteries plus the Sync Module to help extend its battery life.

The biggest gripe we have with the Blink Video Doorbell is its reliance on the Blink Subscription Plan, which costs about $4/£2.50. It's the only way to save footage to cloud storage, but you can save locally via a broadband router with old Sync Modules. On the bright side, you can trial the Blink Subscription Plan for 30 days with the purchase of the Blink Video Doorbell right now.

As mentioned earlier, the new Sync Module doesn't support local storage, but the Blink Video Doorbell has the backwards compatibility to work with older Sync Modules that do have local storage. You may want to consider that if you don't plan on paying for a Blink Subscription.

The Blink Video Doorbell is a great starter video doorbell. However, if you're looking for more from your home security camera or smart doorbell, I'd also advise browsing our best home security cameras and best video doorbells. Some of them might even show up on our Prime Day deals page in the near future.
