This Dell 16 Laptop is great for school or everyday use — and it’s now £300 off
Decent storage, reasonable performance, and a great price
In recent times, much has been said about the rising costs of PCs and components, which makes scoring a great laptop deal even more tempting. Today, you can buy the Dell 16 at Dell for £599 (was £899), which is an excellent price for an everyday laptop that's built to last through this uptick in costs.
With a respectable AMD Ryzen 7 250 CPU, 16GB RAM, and 1TB SSD, it has all the essentials for helping you work more effectively or simply browse online in a more convenient fashion than using your phone. Its 16-inch screen is more practical than tiny displays, too.
Today’s best laptop deal
The Dell 16 is an attractive-looking laptop that clearly borrows a few design elements from the much pricier MacBook Pro. While its processor, RAM, and SSD combo aren't at the high end of benchmark tests, it’s more than good enough for regular daily use. Its 16-inch screen is what appeals most to me, thanks to its 2K resolution, which is great for fitting more content on the screen. Details like a backlit keyboard with a rare numeric keypad are great to help with productivity.
We haven’t specifically reviewed the standard Dell 16, but we were impressed by the Dell 16 Plus last year. Generally, the best Dell laptops are all worth your investment as the brand offers strong workhorse devices at any price range.
This Dell 16 positions itself well as one of the best budget laptops. It looks good while offering military-grade durability. It also has features like Dell ComfortView to cut down on blue light emissions and eye strain, and it’s lightweight given its larger screen.
If you simply need something to work from home on, study, or just browse online, this is a good option. After all, you don’t need to spend thousands on one of the best laptops to complete basic tasks.
Of course, if you can afford to spend more, there are other deals around. Besides the many Dell laptop deals, there are also some great gaming laptop deals if you’re keen to game on the move.
