Amazon is selling 4.5-star Sony headphones for $33 and Cyber Monday just got real
Being able to buy absolute class-leading brands for the price of no-name options isn’t something that happens every day.
But Cyber Monday isn't an everyday occurrence. And even though Black Friday itself is behind us, the Cyber Monday deals are in full swing – and it's this annual event we have to thank for the rare opportunity to pick up heavy-hitter 4.5-star headphones for silly money. Hurrah!
Right now, you can buy the excellent Sony WH-CH520 at Amazon for just $33 (was $59.99) at Amazon, a saving of 53% on headphones we called "simply superb value" at their "reviewed-at" price of $60.

Make no mistake, $33 is the lowest price they've ever been according to our price-trackers, and I happen to know that they've even risen to $74.99 in the past, owing to positive reviews (not least from this very publication, TechRadar) and their enduring popularity.

I've reviewed over 170 audio products since becoming a tech journalist, ranging from super-budget earbuds to high-end Hi-Res Audio music players. Before joining TechRadar, I spent three years at What Hi-Fi? testing everything the world of audio had to offer; before that, I was a professional dancer. My love of music ties it all together.
Today’s incredibly cheap Sony Cyber Monday headphones deal

Sony on-ears for under $33? That's not a mistake: this deal takes a cool 53% off the list price, making them good contenders to buy again, even though they're getting just a little old. We said in our Sony WH-CH520 review they are "simply superb value", and this deal more than keeps them that way. They sound good, they run for 50 hours between charges, and they're comfortable too – just as long as you note that you won't get active noise cancellation (something I can take or leave, to be honest).
In our Sony WH-CH520 review, my colleague Matt Bolton called them “some of the best cheap headphones you can buy” with “very well-balanced sound” and that top-tier Sony app-support for excellent audio customization.
Price-wise, the Sony WH-CH520 usually drop to around the $48 mark during big sales events, although I have seen them ever-so briefly sell for $38 during Black Friday. But at this fee? I mean it's a steal, isn't it? I want to publish this piece quick, in case the deal disappears…
Quickly though, these headphones punch above way their weight and offer some features that you usually only find on much pricier models – including a whopping 50-hour battery.
Any downsides? OK, the on-ear design may not be for everyone, they don't offer active noise cancellation and they were released in February 2023. So they're not the newest cans on the block – what of it? We still highly rate the WH-1000XM4 that arrived back in August 2020 so, you know, Sony cans age well…
Not sure they're the ones for you? This isn't the only Sony deal in town for Cyber Monday. I'll link to the best I've seen here, but you'll have to shell out quite a bit more than $33.
Happy shopping – and stay safe out there!

When we tested these headphones at launch, we asked – are these the best headphones ever made? They deserved every one of the five stars we gave them in our Sony WH-1000XM4 review thanks to their stellar sound quality and class-leading noise cancellation – and they're still a really strong pick today at this very low price. They once dropped to just $129, but that was brief, and never repeated – this is the best price we've seen for them otherwise.

These headphones may have been superseded by the excellent XM6, but if you've been eyeing up the Sony WH-1000XM5 but didn't like their fairly high price tag – we've listed their original MSRP, although they've been hovering just below $340 several times this year – then today is a good day to buy. These premium headphones have just dropped below $250, and this is the lowest they've ever been – and at that price they're an excellent buy. Check out our full Sony WH-1000XM5 review to get all the details. We like these headphones a lot: they deliver very good active noise cancellation, superior comfort, and Sony sound quality. They'd make a good gift for somebody special, and that somebody could be you.

Sony's newest mid-range wireless earbuds for less than $80 in Amazon's early Black Friday sale? Yup: this is a real bargain. For this money, you're getting Sony quality for the kind of money you'd expect to pay for a much lesser brand. In our Sony WF-C710N review, we heaped praise on these buds for their bolstered battery life, fantastic sound quality and upgraded ANC. At this price point, our recommending them is a no-brainer – at a third of the price of the high-end Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds, we think these are the better-value buy.

We said in our review of the WF-C510 that these are among our favorite low-cost earbuds thanks to their punchy, high-quality sound, comfortable fit and ultra-affordable price. We rated them four and a half stars when they were at full price, and said they're preferable even to Apple's more expensive AirPods 4 as great budget buds. At this discounted price they're an absolute steal, as long as you're happy without active noise cancellation.
