The Voyager C515SR's plastic casing is sturdy, but it's not as tough as some of the other laptops it's up against. With a plain design, those seeking a stylish machine should look elsewhere.

The 15.4-inch display features a glossy Super-TFT coating, and the images are bright and colourful. The Voyager uses an integrated graphics card. It performed well in our benchmarks, but it doesn't offer the 3D capabilities of a dedicated card.

That said, the chassis remained cool to the touch, and battery life regularly lasted for over four hours, making it a useful tool for those on the road. It's 2.8kg weight also proved reasonably portable.

When it came to running everyday applications, the Evesham impressed. A high-end Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 is fitted, which runs at 2.2GHz. With 1024MB of memory in place, the Voyager proved to be one of the fastest machines in its price class. The 120GB hard drive is average.

Where other machines offer extras, the Evesham is devoid of features. The sides of the machine offer just four USB 2.0 ports, a 4-in-1 card reader and a VGA-out port - allowing you to connect to external monitors and projectors. A DVD rewriter is also built in.

Apart from the high-end processor, this machine failed to stand out. The similarly priced and identically styled Zoostorm 4-6623 offers a better graphics card, a bigger hard drive, better connectivity and more memory. With this machine, it's hard to see where the money has gone.
