Chromebooks are a fantastic choice for everyday computing - particularly if you can get one of the already-great value machines on the cheap. Luckily, Best Buy currently has a number of discounts on machines from well-known brands like HP, Asus, and Samsung that could save you up to $270.

I've been scanning through the retailer's Chromebook deals to find my favorites today, and there are some excellent options. You can see my three highlights just down below.

My pick if you're on a budget is this HP Chromebook 14 for $219 (was $399). We've generally liked HP's cheaper Chromebooks over the years, and at $219, you're getting a great deal here if you need a machine that can cover the basics. The machine features a portable 14-inch form factor that's perfect if you need a laptop for school or college.

Other top picks include the Asus CX34 for $579 (was $729) and the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook for $599 (was $749). These are great options if you want something a little higher-end.
