From season 4 finally has a release date – and it's April 19. But, even after a just over a year waiting for the new season to arrive, I'm not even sure I'm ready to head back to 'Fromville'. Oh wait, of course I am, because we're all one, big happy 'FROMily', right? Even if we're terrified.
For three seasons, From has focused on Boyd (Harold Perrineau), the self-appointed sheriff of a town where everyone's trapped. Unfortunately, the news gets worse, because they're not only trapped with themselves, but other horrifying creatures that love to attack at night. And, as we learned in the season 3 finale, no-one is safe. Not even the children.
So, what can we expect from From season 4? Well, there's still the entire mystery of 'Fromville' to solve, big questions left unanswered, and more from the Man in the Yellow Suit. Here's everything we've found out so far from release date, confirmed cast, plot rumors, and more.

From season 4 will officially arrive on April 19, which is the news we've been waiting impatiently to hear since the show's early renewal back in November 2024. But, we've been rewarded for our patience with the release date coming up fast.

Fortunately, we had a little hope keeping us going as the cast and crew shared that filming had wrapped in November 2025. Plus, it gave us a really good insight into who would be returning for From season 4, though we'll jump into more on that later on.
From season 4 trailer
Alongside the release date announcement, MGM+ also unveiled the From season 4 teaser trailer. And while it's not a full trailer just yet, it's a certified first-look at some of the terrifying goings-on that will unravel in the next 10 episodes.
Take the words littered throughout the trailer in terrifying chalk writing: "Knowledge comes at a cost". Or, another look at the Man in Yellow with his rotting teeth and his anxiety building words: "What happens next is my favorite part".

We're sure a full trailer won't be too far behind considering the impending April 19 release date, and we'll be sure to update here as soon as it drops.

- Catalina Sandino Moreno as Tabitha Matthews
- Scott McCord as Victor

A new name appearing at the bottom of the cast list is Julia Doyle, who Deadline reported would be joining the From season 4 cast as a series regular.
Speaking on her role, Deadline revealed that Doyle will play "Sophia, a sheltered and vulnerable pastor’s daughter." We don't know much else about her character, but we don't have to wait much longer to find out.
From season 4 story synopsis
Full spoilers for From seasons 1 to 3. Potential spoilers to follow for From season 4.
There's a lot to pick up on after the fallout of From season 3 which saw big deaths and a slight unraveling of the mystery of 'Fromville'. Spoiler alert: We now know that the town's creatures were once humans who sacrificed their own children for a bid at eternal life. And creatures they became, unrelenting and horrifying.
We also met the Man in Yellow, though his true role in Fromville is yet to be revealed. What we seemingly know is he's up to no good at all. Oh, and let's not forget we also found out that Julie is some sort of time traveller, appearing with different hair and clothes when she shouts for her father.
Helpfully, we also have the official synopsis from MGM+ as our biggest hint for what's to come: "In season four, the closer the residents of town get to the answers they seek, the more terrifying their search becomes.
"Who is the Man in Yellow, and what does he want? Will Jade and Tabitha’s revelation be the key to finally going home? How much longer can Boyd hold the town together, even as his body and mind are falling apart? And what role will the town’s most recent arrival play in the events to come? Season Four will open doors that some in town will end up wishing had remained closed."
There's a lot of questions and lots of speculation around what it all means, but fortunately, showrunner John Griffin has had some time to think about them.
When he spoke to Deadline back in 2024, he revealed when it comes to season four, he has a plan: "With the culmination of season three we have, in many ways, reached the end of the beginning. In season four, a new journey begins. The question is whether it will lead our characters home, or deeper into this unrelenting nightmare."
Thanks to the teaser trailer, we do know a little about the characters returning and their journey to uncover what's really going on and whether they can find a way to escape. But whether they do in From season 4, it still a mystery.
Will there be more seasons of From?
There's a lot of talk online about there being a fifth season of From, but there's no official confirmation as of yet. Season 4 got an early renewal, two months before the show premiered with season 3. But, we're fast approaching the April 19 release date and there's no news yet.
Speaking to Gold Derby in June 2025, Catalina Sandino Moreno spoke of John Griffin's plan for the show's conclusion: "John knows how the show is going to end. He has it very, very clear. He knows the whole folklore about the kids and the stones and the tree, all of it. But he doesn't want to share with anyone!"
And we certainly haven't heard anything yet, though we'll update here as soon as we do.
