Why Infinix's GT 30 Pro could be the AI-powered gaming phone of your dreams

Mobile gaming is no longer just casual entertainment—it has become serious business, especially among Gen Z. Whether it’s a quick round of Marvel Snap or a high-stakes 1v1 in PUBG MOBILE, the mobile gaming experience keeps getting better—and players want the best tools to match.
The medium has seen steady year-on-year growth, driven by developers bringing more advanced, console-like titles to the device in your pocket. According to a recent CMR report, nearly half of Gen Z gamers now prioritize smooth, fast, and powerful performance when choosing a phone.
In response, it’s not just game developers who are stepping up. Gaming phone manufacturers are also accelerating innovation, upgrading hardware and building gaming ecosystems to meet these rising expectations. The message is clear: mobile gamers are no longer satisfied with “good enough”—they want serious performance, built for serious play.
Enter the Infinix GT 30 Pro, an officially certified device for esports competitions that’s in use with games like PUBG MOBILE, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and more.
Here’s why it could fill a console-shaped hole in your life.
The Infinix GT 30 Pro is a gaming powerhouse built for esports
Infinix was established back in 2013, and it leveraged all of that experience with the GT 30 Pro mobile phone to make it an esports-ready device.
The 2024 GT 20 Pro was no slouch, but this new model takes the baton and runs with it, running games off of the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate 5.5G chip, but with Infinix’s own 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Cooling to avoid your phone getting warm while racking up the frames.
The manufacturer says its 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber (3DVCC) boosts liquid capacity by 20% while also improving heat dissipation by the same amount, leading to a core that’s cooler by up to 3°C. If you’ve ever leaned away from mobile games because your handset started to get warm, this could be the tonic for that experience.
That cooling tech keeps the GT 30 Pro running games at up to 144 FPS for selected games, something its rivals simply can’t do, including flagships from Apple and Samsung that top out at 120 FPS. That makes it an ideal device for PC gamers switching over who want the smoothest gameplay experience on their mobile device.
The result is that popular games like Honor of Kings, PUBG MOBILE, CoD Mobile, and soon Free Fire can reach upwards of 120FPS, while feeling less like a mobile game and more like an extension of your own fingers, all while the cooling system avoids pushing hot air directly onto a user’s hands.
In fact, many of the biggest mobile games around run best on the Infinix GT 30 Pro because the developers have worked on ways to take advantage of all of the power under the hood.
Playing a shooter? The Immersive Sound feature will amplify key sounds like gunfire, explosions, and footsteps to help you pinpoint an opponent’s location, while its Game Filters make it easier to see foes in darker areas.
Infinix’s own X-Haptics system and 4D Vibration Engine 3.0 also offer 240Hz ten-finger touch acceleration, dovetailing together for impressive rumble granularity so each weapon feels distinct, and each screen press feels responsive.
A big, beautiful display
Outside of the refresh rate, the display is a 1.5K resolution AMOLED panel that’s dramatically sharper than 1080p panels elsewhere, and that makes it ideal for just about anything from keeping text sharp for reading, or for spotting more detail in games.
It offers deep blacks and vibrant colors, while also reducing screen flicker in order to prevent eye strain. It reaches up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness, and has multiple comfortable viewing angles which makes it ideal for watching movies with friends—or your finest in-game replays.
More controls, customisation, and connectivity than its rivals
Perhaps our favorite feature, however, is the phone’s GT Trigger. These use capacitive buttons to allow for a more console-like gaming experience, but with no added bulk so you can still take the Infinix GT 30 Pro out of your pocket without any awkward bits grabbing your clothes.
The GT Trigger can use programmable macros, too, letting players link up combos and more with a single button press. Imagine a single tap to switch gear, toggle maps, or activate key items like resurrection armor in MOBA titles—all chained with perfect timing, or play like a four- or six-finger pro in FPS titles—triggering scope-in, crouch, or burst-fire combos with ease. It’s a powerful feature that gives players a genuine competitive edge, bridging the gap between touchscreen and controller precision.
It makes things much more console-like, again aiding anyone looking to jump into the world of mobile gaming with experience of console or PC instead.
But you can do more with the GT Trigger. Beyond gaming, GT Trigger allows you to assign one-tap shortcuts for common tasks, so actions like opening the camera or starting your favorite app become faster and more convenient than ever.
While some gaming-focused phones can lean a little too heavily into angular designs, the Infinix GT 30 Pro does things a little differently with what the company dubs the ‘Mechanical Light Waves Design’.
The idea is to offer plenty of airflow to keep its innards cool while powering the latest and greatest games, while also allowing for users to enjoy immersive lighting from the back of the device.
The dynamic lighting system accents the cyberpunk-style hardware, reacting in real time depending on what you’re doing, like pulsating when the phone rings or lighting up in time to music. It’s particularly eye-catching on the Dark Flare colorway.
Connectivity is king, particularly in mobile gaming where 5G rules the roost, but the GT 30 Pro goes one step beyond with 5.5G network technology that can reach speeds up to twice as fast as standard 5G modems.
You’ll feel that speed when downloading apps and scrolling social media feeds, of course, but you’ll notice it means your actions in-game are registered more quickly, particularly with that high refresh rate.
An AI Toolkit
It’s 2025, and AI is on everyone’s mind. Thankfully, the GT 30 Pro has Infinix AI features, too, including a Magic Voice Changer that works to adjust a user’s voice in real-time to allow for them to improve anonymity and customise their sound in multiplayer lobbies.
Those lighting effects around the phone’s chassis are also driven by AI, while XBOOST AI allows for instantly kicking the device into Esports mode and blocking out all distractions. What’s more, XBOOST AI lets you instantly toggle between Power Saving, Equilibrium, and Performance modes. That means you can save power when needed, or rack up the eliminations in your chosen title for maximum performance.
There’re even AI gaming tips within the AI Magic Box, such as ‘Auto Pickup’, which automatically collects dropped items during exploration, and ‘Unfreeze’, which helps you regain control smoothly when needed—ideal for the likes of Genshin Impact. Both Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail support the ‘Accelerate Dialogue’ feature, while Genshin also includes additional tools like ‘Running Lock’ to help keep your momentum going—whether you’ve been playing for hours or want to maximise 15 minutes before bed.
And a phone!
Of course, aside from being a portable powerhouse, the Infinix GT 30 Pro is also a phone, and has a whopping 108MP main camera with up to 3X lossless zoom, with a 13MP selfie camera, too.
It runs XOS15, too, with two years of Android updates and three years of security updates guaranteed. And, since we’re in 2025, there’s an AI focus here that means the phone will get to know what you’re working on regularly and have those apps and processes ready to go.
The GT 30 Pro has a 5500mAh battery (5200mAh in some regions) for all-day power, and supports not just wired and wireless charging but bypass charging, too. The latter means you can run power right to the phone’s innards to maintain battery life and get playing faster.
