Samsung has officially announced the date for its second Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026, where it’s widely expected the Korean tech giant will unveil its newest foldable Galaxy handsets.

The event is set to take place on July 22, 2026 at 11pm AEDT, with the Galaxy Unpacked keynote livestreamed from the UK. While Samsung hasn’t outright revealed what the phones will be, it has dropped hints like the tagline “A new shape is about to unfold”, all but confirming that the 2026 Fold and Flip are set to star.

To celebrate the reveals, Samsung Australia is giving away 5 vouchers worth AU$2,000 to spend on the official Samsung Store, and all you have to do to get a chance is to register for Galaxy Unpacked here.

Registering simply means filling out a form with your contact details and answering a few questions about what phone you’re currently using and what your next one will look like.

What’s more, even if you don’t win one of those vouchers, by registering you’ll still receive a AU$50 Eco-Voucher that can be used towards Galaxy Buds, Watches, Tablets, Ring and accessories when you pre-order any of the new phones once they’re unveiled. As a special bonus, Samsung is boosting the value of the voucher to AU$150 the first 72 hours of the pre-order period.

But that’s not the only way to save on these new foldables, either — after registering, you’ll also be given the option to save a further AU$60 during the pre-order period via a triple-value ‘AU$30’ Samsung gift card. Buying this now and using it during the pre-order period will take AU$90 off a new 2026 foldable handset’s price. Combine this with the Eco-Voucher in the first 72 hours of pre-order and that adds up to a potential total saving of AU$210.

What has Samsung revealed so far?

The Galaxy Unpacked registration page makes multiple references to the upcoming devices being foldable phones, as well as a new range of watches that will presumably succeed the Galaxy Watch 8 range.

The Unpacked page’s FAQ section below has entries that read, “When can I pre-order the newest Samsung Galaxy foldables and new Galaxy Watches?”, and “What makes these new foldable phones so innovative?”.

The latter’s answer reads: “The newest Samsung phones are the next generation of our unique and powerful Samsung Galaxy foldables, equipped with signature Samsung innovation that sets them apart. Levelled-up hardware, fresh form factors and optimised software make these some of our most exciting smartphones yet. More Samsung phone features will be revealed during Galaxy Unpacked!”

Also hinted at in the FAQ section is a new version of One UI, which is likely the Android 17-based One UI 9. Samsung says this update “provides an intuitive and seamless environment to keep you immersed and focused” and that it “makes the most of the foldable form factors”.

We’ve named last year’s Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 as the best foldable phone and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 as the best smartwatch for sleep tracking, so we expect a strong showing from their respective successors when Samsung finally pulls back the curtain on July 22.
