iPhone 7 launch as it happened

10.51 - Apparently, this is just the start of exciting things to come, says Edwards. Jeff is back on stage, telling us that the watch will start at $369, and the Nike+ will be £369.

The old watches - series one - will have the same dual core processor and be $269 - pre order from September 9 and on sale from September 16. However, the Nike+ version will be available in late October.

10.47 - He's talking about how complex running watches are - completely disagree that current watches are too complex - and apparently they don't allow you to just easily start a run. There's a short cut on the new Apple Watch Series 2 - you can even ask Siri to get your running.

There's simple and advanced mode too - that could be good. But there's also motivation - insightful invitations are made just for you. It'll even let you know when your friends are out running.

People that run on Sundays, they say, are people that are more active. 'Just Do It Sundays' is a thing to incite people to run... sounds like it could be something else though...

Nike Plus

10.45 - Faster, brighter, water-resistant, GPS - those are the big upgrades. But how much will it cost and when can we get it?

Apple says it's going to be brilliant for runners - let's see about that given how bad the first one was. But Apple has partnered with Nike, working with them to announce Apple Watch Nike Plus.

Is this what the team's been working on for months? At least that'll work with the platform I use all the time - I might actually start using this Watch if it's a decent experience.

Trevor Edwards from Nike is on stage, the President telling us that he's looking forward to serving every athlete.

Apple

10.44 - There's also a stainless steel and aluminum versions, as well as the high end Hermes one - but that ceramic one looks amazing. And it's four times stronger than stainless steel too.

10.43 - The GPS will tell you if you wander too far from the proper route - Jeff is back telling us that there's a wide variety of styles for the Apple Watch Series 2 - new models including a ceramic watch.

10.41 - Hannah from Viewranger is showing us how you can use the Watch to hike around. Offlinedirections on the watch - but will it have an altimeter to tell you how high you are?

pple watch

10.39 - There's a dual core processor and it's 50% faster - with 60 frame per second on the wrist. This is going to make a lot more impressive apps.

And the display is twice as bright, and it's 1000 nits. That's massive - in fact, it's the brightest Apple has ever shipped on a device.

And - finally - GPS is on board. No more need for the phone when you're running. It'll apparently have a fast GPS connections, and there will be a heat map to show you your run and how fast you were - and where.

10.37 - There's new swimming workouts within the watch itself - and the watch will learn about you over time, and your individual stroke efficiency. Be interesting to see if swimmers do love this, given the running community wasn't impressed last year.

Apple watch

10.35 - This watch is going to be 'swim-proof', which means you can wear it swimming, surfing or water resistant for 50 metres. So it can be at a depth of 50 metres. Challenging for a smartwatch to make sure all the 'entry points' - except for the speaker.

Apple WAtch series 2

So for series 2, the speaker system, at the end of the workout the speaker will eject the water. We saw that for the iPhone as a rumor before, so that much be where it came out.

10.34 - We're seeing Apple Watch 2 now - the next generation of Apple Watch. It's going to be waterproof at least.

It's going to be called Apple Watch - series 2.

10.33 - Ah, it'll apparently only work when you're in a 'workout' - which means you'll get exercise properly at the same time. It'll be shipping by the end of the year.

10.29 - Apparently Pokemon Trainers have walked 4.6 billion miles since the launch. But they only tracked 1 billion, probably.

Pokemon Go

Hanke is showing the Pokemon Go Plus band on stage... this all feels too little, too late. Let's see what happens there...

Now the Watch app shows your level, the CP needed for the next level and how far the egg needs to be walked. And you can see which Pokemon are near. And then you'll be told when there's a Pokestop or Pokemon to be caught with a tap on your wrist. And you can swipe from your wrist.

10.28 - Pokemon Go is coming to the Apple Watch - bit late - but John Hanke is on stage. 'It's been a busy summer for us at Niantic'... he's not wrong there. Do people care anymore?

10.27 - Going through updates on the WatchOS 3 - new apps are coming for the new platform, using the new developer tools and sensors to improve your fitness and gaming experience.

10.25 - Jeff Williams on stage to talk Apple Watch 2. He's beginning with WatchOS 3 - come on Jeff, we know all this.

Apple

10.24 - Talking up the benefits now - how Apple Watch 'has changed what people expect from a watch. Apple is now the second highest seller of watches in the world (behind Rolex) in 2015... which is actually pretty impressive. And obviously the number one smartwatch.

Apparently customers love the Apple Watch, which might surprise some. There's nothing wrong with it, but some people still prefer their own timepieces.

10.23 - It's time for new products! Beginning with Apple Watch. By the way, Tim totally has a cold.
