If you’ve been holding out for a premium cordless vacuum cleaner that doesn’t cost Dyson money, Samsung’s Bespoke AI Jet Lite just landed in the sweet spot with a huge AU$700 saving, bringing its price down to an admirable AU$699 — that’s half price!

And you get quite a lot for your money, starting with up to 280AW of suction — putting it on par with the Dyson Gen5detect — up to 60 minutes of runtime and Samsung’s Clean Station, an auto-emptying charging station that’s one of the best we’ve come across.

A lighter version of Samsung’s flagship Bespoke AI Jet Ultra in more ways than one, this model is lightweight at a mere 1.45kg in handheld mode. It features an AI cleaning mode that automatically adjusts suction depending on the surface and supports notifications from other Samsung SmartThings devices.

Despite being a ‘Lite’ model of the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, Samsung has packed an awful lot into this more affordable stick vacuum cleaner, including trickle-down technology from its higher-spec sibling. While the Lite might miss out on the uber-powerful 400AW of suction in that model, the 280AW it does have makes the Lite more powerful than many Shark vacuums we’ve tested at TechRadar and puts it on par with a number of Dyson machines.

Then there’s the Clean Station which, in our experience, is one of the best examples of a docking station you can find. Everything about it is just effortless, from its auto-empty performance to the seamless nature of replacing dust bags — speaking of, you get three included with the Bespoke Jet AI Lite, while other self-emptying stick vacs come with just one extra bag.

Samsung also provides a good selection of attachments in the box, including two floorheads — a Jet Dual Brush+ that’s designed for mixed flooring, and a Slim LED Brush+ for use on hard floors specifically. You also get a Pet Tool, two combination tools and a flexible hose that allows the telescopic wand to bend to help get under furniture.

Of course, with AI being in the model name, Samsung has also packed a number of AI features into this vacuum. One of its headline features is AI Cleaning Mode 2.0, which essentially refers to the fact the vacuum will automatically adjust suction power depending on the type of flooring its being used on — hard floors that are easier to clean with less suction, while deep-pile carpets will command more.

It can also integrate with other SmartThings devices, if you have any. For example, if you have a Samsung phone and someone calls whilst you’re vacuuming, you’ll receive a notification on the vacuum’s LCD display.

It’s not the only Bespoke Jet vacuum cleaner on sale at Samsung’s website right now, but it is the best-value offer in my opinion. Other models on sale include the following:

Samsung has also slashed prices on a range of home appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers and other cooking appliances. If you bundle a vacuum cleaner, washer and a dryer in one transaction, you’ll save an additional 10% off the entire purchase.
