Want a Ring doorbell but don't want the subscription? Check out this great half-price alternative instead
The Eufy Video Doorbell Dual delivers crisp footage from its twin cameras, and saves it all to an internal SD card so there are no cloud storage fees.
Thinking about buying a RIng doorbell this Black Friday, but don't want to pay to view your video recordings? Good news – the excellent Eufy Video Doorbell Dual is just £74.99 (was £159.99) at Amazon right now, and it saves your videos locally rather than in the cloud so there are no cloud storage fees. It's one of the best video doorbells we've ever reviewed, and at half price it's spectacular value.

During testing, the Eufy Video Doorbell Dual impressed us with its sharp footage (including crisp night vision) and twin cameras that give you a clear view of both visitors and packages. You get instant notifications when someone calls, and your videos are saved on an internal SD card so you can check them out for free any time.
We noticed that it's chunkier than some other video doorbells we've tested, but that's a small quibble considering how much you're getting here. Take a look at our full Eufy Video Doorbell Dual review for more details.

Today's best video doorbell Black Friday deal
This superb video doorbell is half price in the Black Friday sale at Amazon, and it's a brilliant alternative to a similar model from Ring. It stores sharp 2K footage internally, so you don't need to pay a monthly fee for cloud storage, and its twin cameras mean you can see visitors easily, plus any packages they leave on your doorstep.
What if you still want a Ring, but not a subscription? Well, you can use a Ring doorbell without a subscription, with basic features like two-way chat and live view available free as part of the basic feature set, but you'll need to sign up for a Ring Home plan to review video recording and unlock features like person-recognition.
To find out exactly what you get with each Ring Home plan, and how much the different tiers cost, take a look at our full guide to Ring subscriptions.

Another great Eufy doorbell selling for half price this Black Friday, the C1 only has a single camera compared to the Dual's two, but it still boasts 2K video resolution and comes complete with a plug-in chime so you can hear it anywhere in the house – even when you don't have your phone to hand. Videos are stored on a MicroSD card in the doorbell.
Swann also does an excellent line of subscription-free doorbells, and this one has received a generous £25 price cut for Black Friday. Like the Eufy C1, it comes with its own plug-in chime, and saves your videos to an internal SD card rather than the cloud so there are no extra fees to worry about.
