Sony's Black Friday headphones and earbuds deals deliver record-low prices

As we said in our WH-CH720N review, you're getting a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. These mid-range over-ears are comfortable, enjoyable and deliver solid noise-blocking too.

When we tested these headphones at launch, we asked – are these the best headphones ever made? They deserved every one of the five stars we gave them in our Sony WH-1000XM4 review thanks to their stellar sound quality and class-leading noise cancellation – and they're still a really strong pick today at this very low price. They once dropped to just $129, but that was brief, and never repeated – this is the best price we've seen for them otherwise.

We said in our Sony WH-CH520 review that these are "simply superb value", and while the world of budget headphones has caught up with them since their launch a couple of years ago, this discount puts them back in a good place. They sound very well-balanced, they go for 50 hours between charges, and they're comfortable for on-ears. You'll struggle to get comparable headphones for such a low price.

If you're looking for a set of well-made noise-cancelling over-ear headphones on a budget, these are a good choice: as we said in our Sony WH-CH720N review, you're getting a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. These mid-range over-ears are comfortable, enjoyable to listen to, and do a decent job of blocking outside sounds.

The Sony WH-1000XM4 have been around for a while now, but they're so good that they continued to top our best headphones guide long after their successors had launched. Their noise cancellation is practically as good as the XM5's, they sound good, and they're super-comfy too.

If you've been eyeing up the Sony WH-1000XM5 but have been put off by the admittedly high price tag (we've listed their original RRP, although they've been hovering around £259 for a little while), now is probably the time to act. These premium headphones have just dropped below £200 and for that money, they're an excellent buy – our Sony WH-1000XM5 review is the place to go for that. The Sony WH-1000XM6 might be out now, but they cost twice as much – the XM6 are a clear upgrade, but I think a lot of people will be happier keeping the £150 in their pocket. This version of the Sony XM5 comes with a soft bag case instead of a hard case, saving you a little extra.

These are the very latest version of Sony's range-topping ANC over-ears, and in our Sony WH-1000XM6 review we said that they offer class-leading noise cancellation, excellent audio performance and highly intuitive touch controls – and unlike their immediate predecessors they're also foldable. One thing we didn't like was their higher price, but this discount makes them much more affordable. These are as good as noise-cancelling headphones get.
