Gaming laptop deals

Lenovo LOQ 15.6-inch | Core i5 / 16GB / RTX 5060 / 512GB SSD: was AU$2,209 now AU$1,699 at Lenovo Australia

For gamers on a budget, the LOQ laptop lineup is quite affordable and makes for a solid mid-range buy at the current discount. Working alongside the 100W TGP RTX 5060 GPU, the LOQ has an older but grunty Intel Core i5-13450HX CPU and 16GB of RAM. It's not exactly the most powerful machine, but the RTX 5060 will give decent frame rates on the 1080p, 144Hz display.

Alienware 16 Aurora gaming laptop | Core 7 / RTX 5060 / 16GB / 1TB
Save 33% (AU$859.47)
Alienware 16 Aurora gaming laptop | Core 7 / RTX 5060 / 16GB / 1TB: was AU$2,599.30 now AU$1,739.83 at Dell

This gaming laptop launched back in early June and has been AU$2,599.60 until recently, but has now dropped to AU$1,999.80. You can now also get an extra 13% off using the code FUTURE13% – bringing the price down to the lowest we have seen. This model only has a TGP of 80W, so it's slower than a 115W TGP RTX 5060, but it's still a reasonable deal for the specs if you want a more efficient but gaming capable machine with a big 16-inch, 2560 x 1600 120Hz display.

You can also get the RTX 5050 variant for AU$1,564.65 using the same code.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5 AMD 16-inch (Gen 10) | Ryzen 9 / RTX 5070 / 32GB / 1TB SSD
Save 31% (AU$1,090)
Lenovo Legion Pro 5 AMD 16-inch (Gen 10) | Ryzen 9 / RTX 5070 / 32GB / 1TB SSD: was AU$3,489 now AU$2,399 at Lenovo Australia

The AMD variant of the excellent legion Pro is a solid deal for the RTX 5070 model. While the spec is very similar to the Intel variant, you do get a 2560 x 1600, 240Hz IPS display, rather than a 165Hz OLED, which some people may prefer. But considering you also save almost AU$400, that's a decent trade off. You can also upgrade to the OLED panel on the AU$2,599 model if you prefer.

Alienware 16X Aurora | Ultra 9 / RTX 5070 / 32GB / 2TB SSD
Save 36% (AU$1,502.83)

This mighty gaming laptop was an unrealistic AU$4,198.70 back in June, but it has now dropped to AU$3,098.70. Then use the coupon code FUTURE13% at checkout to bring the price down to AU$2,695.87. That's pretty great for an RTX 5070 machine with an Ultra 9 CPU, 32GB of RAM and a large 16-inch 2560 x 1600 240Hz display.

Lenovo Legion Pro 5i 16-inch (Gen 10) | Ultra 9 / RTX 5070 / 32GB / 1TB SSD
Save 31% (AU$1,240)
Lenovo Legion Pro 5i 16-inch (Gen 10) | Ultra 9 / RTX 5070 / 32GB / 1TB SSD: was AU$4,039 now AU$2,799 at Lenovo Australia

The Pro model of one of our favourite Lenovo laptops has a solid 31% off the RTX 5070 variant. Sure, the web price before discount is beyond steep, but on sale it's excellent value for a premium gaming machine with an OLED, 2560 x 1600, 165Hz display.

Or score the Legion Pro 7i with an RTX 5070 Ti, 5080 or 5090 GPU for up to 27% off.

There are almost no other comparable machines at this price, making it an excellent deal if you are willing to spend big. Read our review to learn more.
