A stunning plasma screen combined with Freeview and an HD satellite receiver is just short of IDTV perfection

TechRadar's verdict

"The KRP-500A is a superb high-definition display that will really make the most of new hi-def channels and sources and will stand the test of time. If money's no object then it's also not bad for watching a few Euro TV channels, but it's probably not worth the investment if you're only after free-to-air HD because there just isn't enough – and it doesn't support Freesat fully. But if you're kitting out for an HD lifestyle with Sky HD, a games console, PC media server and Blu-ray player, you'll get the best possible results."
