These are the best smart glasses I’ve reviewed, and they’re at a record-low price for Prime Day

I’ve been testing smart glasses for years and right now I have some favorites that are currently discounted for Prime Day, including an over $100 discount on the Xreal One at Amazon (now $449).

Both pairs I’m recommending here are tuned for entertainment. You hook them up to your phone, a console, your PC, or some other compatible USB-C device and you can watch your show, game or film of choice play out on a giant virtual screen that only you can see. It’s like having your own private cinema.

These don’t have the AI abilities of pairs you’ll see from the likes of Meta, but if you travel or commute a lot then you’ll find a lot to love from the glasses – I never fly without them.

So thanks to this year's Amazon Prime Day deals you can get them both at a serious discount, and to sweeten the deal I’ve included a discount I’ve seen on Xreal’s Beam Pro add-on which turns its specs into a more standalone device.

Today's best (Product name) Prime Day deal

Smart glasses come in lots of varieties. For everyday usage specs with AI functions and open-ear audio are ideal, but if you want a portable multi-monitor setup for your laptop or a private cinema experience then the RayNeo or Xreal specs above will be what you need.

The Xreal One glasses are my go-to mid-range option, especially at this price. While they are bested by the One Pro glasses thanks to Xreal’s inclusion of a new and slimmer optical engine – which also produces a sharper image – the Xreal Ones are a delight.

That’s thanks to their impressive brightness and electrochromically-dimmed lenses which help their image stand out against your real-world background, and their solid audio which can be good enough to use without headphones – though I’d recommend grabbing some cans if you’re using them in public places.

I’ve loaned my pair to fellow TechRadar writer Isaiah Williams, and he has loved using them for handheld gaming. The price to buy his own was a deal breaker at the time, but perhaps with this deal the cost won’t be as much of an issue.

Alternatively he could opt for the RayNeo Air 3S Pro.

I’ve only tried the non-Pro model but even then I was impressed. The quality wasn’t quite on par with Xreal’s specs but in exchange you were getting a much cheaper pair of specs – and the product was still more than good enough for my needs.

RayNeo’s XR glasses still boast a solid full-HD image and decent audio quality, though I found the image wasn’t quite bright enough to compete against their more translucent lenses (which didn’t block out as much light.

That said, the Pro model is much brighter, with an improved display and brightness, so it should be even better than the standard model and it isn’t all that pricey either – especially with this year’s Amazon Prime deals.
