I test TVs for a living – one of my top budget models in the Amazon Omni QLED is back to a record-low price

It wouldn't be Prime Day without a discount on the brand's own Fire TVs, but there are new record-low prices for its Omni QLED TV. In the US, you can get the 55-inch Amazon Omni QLED for $409.99 (was $499.99) at Amazon US, which is the joint lowest we've seen it before. In the UK, the 43-inch Amazon Omni QLED has crashed to £289 (was £549.99), a 47% saving and only £10 more than its record lowest price.

Today's best Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Prime Day deal in the US
This $90 discount may not be the most headline-grabbing offer we've seen this Prime Day, but it does take the feature-packed Amazon Omni QLED back to its joint lowest ever price. This feature-packed TV has great picture quality and gaming performance for the money, and a 55-inch TV like this at this price should definitely be on your shopping list.
Today's best Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED Prime Day deal in the UK
This deal is only £10 higher than the cheapest this TV has ever been – and probably ever will be, since it's about to be replaced by a new version. The Omni QLED delivers an impressive list of features and great overall performance at an affordable price, making it an excellent option if you're on a budget.
The Amazon Omni QLED is one of the best budget TVs I've tested here at TechRadar. I awarded it four stars in my review, as it delivers a strong list of features, including Dolby Vision HDR and Fire TV, along with a solid QLED picture for an affordable price.
The Omni QLED's picture shines with colorful scenes, as colors appear punchy and vibrant in movies like Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It also has natural textures and really excels with Dolby Vision images. Even its motion in action-packed movies like Top Gun: Maverick is surprisingly smooth for a TV with these specs.
Elsewhere, the Omni QLED delivers decent sound quality, delivering solid bass. It has good gaming performance, and despite not carrying every feature we'd like, it does have VRR and Dolby Vision gaming support. It also comes with Fire TV built in, so Prime Video users will benefit from its Prime Video-centric layout.
