It's raining smartphones these days, and the two most hyperactive companies in the scenario are Realme and OnePlus. According to what we have seen in the past, OnePlus launched a limited number of smartphones in a year that had top-notch specifications and delivered high end performance.

However, now the brand seems to join its siblings like Realme and Vivo as it rolled out a sub Rs 20,000 phone, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, yesterday alongside the much-awaited OnePlus 10R. The low-end variant of the OnePlus 10 series is a replica of the Realme GT Neo 3.

Realme GT Neo 3 reached the Indian shores today itself alongside the Realme Pad Mini and the Realme Buds Q2s. If you leave a couple of aspects and the design aside, then you'll be unable to find any differences between the two devices.

Furthermore, a few changes in recently launched OnePlus devices are disappointing. For example, the replacement of the Warp charging technology with SuperVOOC. Being a OnePlus user myself, bidding adieu to the Warp charge and getting stuck with SuperVOOC in the latest Oxygen OS update was nothing less than a heartbreak.

However, one thing which we can assure you of is the presence of Oxygen OS 12 is better than any other customized skin available in the market. At least you are safe from bloatware and have a decent interface.

This time, both the brands have placed their bets on the recently launched MediaTek Dimensity 8000 processors instead of offering a Snapdragon chipset. Nonetheless, we can say that both the recently launched devices will face tough competition from a device produced by one of their siblings, yes, I am talking here about the iQoo 9

A comparison between the OnePlus 10R and Realme GT Neo 3 seemed like a tough nut to crack. But, here we are, with a full-fledged comparison between the two smartphones. They will be compared here based on the pricing, looks, specs, etc. This is surely going to help you know which device you should go for and why.

OnePlus 10R vs Realme GT Neo 3 design and build

OnePlus smartphones have always outclassed their competitors with their classy design. However, the case in terms of the OnePlus 10R is different. The smartphone took inspiration from iPhones to get flat edges.

Apart from that, we get to see a camera bum with three sensors and a flash. Trust me when I say that the sensor placement looks a bit odd. At the back, we get to see the OnePlus branding near the bottom right corner. Another major turnoff for the OnePlus fans this time is that OnePlus

10R has no alert slider. Considering the fact that its predecessor, OnePlus 9R, had one, it works as a major reason why the OnePlus 10R will have no unique aspect as compared to other phones in a similar price range. At the front, the smartphone has thin bezels all around, along with a punch hole cut out for the placement of the front camera.

Realme GT Neo 3 has a sporty and premium look. The white color variant of the device has two black stripes, and the blue variant has two white stripes running down from the upper edge of the left side of the device to the bottom. The black colour variant has no stripe, and it looks more premium, no doubt.

The volume rockers are placed on the left spine of the device, and the power button is on the right. It also has a punch hole at the top middle of the screen for the front sensor.

Starting off with OnePlus 10 Pro, the smartphone comes equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone operates on the Oxygen OS 12.1 based on the Android 12 operating system. It packs 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB onboard storage.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor. It includes HyperBoost Gaming Engine along with General Performance Adapter (GPA) Frame Stabilizer to deliver gaming performance with no lagging or heating issues.

In terms of optics, the smartphone flaunts a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary snapper, 8MP Sony IMX335 ultra-wide angle snapper, and a 2MP macro snapper. Furthermore, it also has a 16MP Samsung ISOCELL S5K3P9 shooter at the front for the sake of selfies and video calls.

The Endurance edition of the smartphone is powered by a 4500mAh battery and supports 150W SuperVOOC fast charging support. While the regular edition has a 5000mAh battery and 80W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 5G, NFC, Bluetooth v5.2, etc.

Now, what if I tell you that both smartphones are identical in terms of specifications. The only difference that you will spot in terms of specifications is the use of Realme UI 3.0 skin and nothing else. Even the sensors used in both the devices are the same.

Conclusion

Well, after comparing both smartphones, we are sure that there are only a couple of factors that differentiate them. They run on the same processor, share the same set of sensors, and even the same charging technology.

However, if you are someone who wants a premium looking device, then you can go for the Realme GT Neo 3. Apart from that, in terms of price point, again, Realme GT Neo 3 is a better choice as it is less expensive compared to the OnePlus 10R.

Keeping all that aside, if you are someone who puts the operating system at equal priority to other aspects, then you should definitely go for the OnePlus 10R as the Oxygen OS is clean and better as compared to the Realme UI 3.0. Moreover, in the case of Realme GT Neo 3, you will also get to see bloatware which is not the case for the OnePlus 10R.
