Step into the future of design and innovation with Panasonic at IFA 2025

IFA is a showcase of the latest and greatest in consumer technology, but for many brands, it’s about more than just a new gadget. This year, Panasonic used the global stage to present a more profound vision, one that goes beyond product specs and dives into how technology can enrich lives.

Under the banner of “Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow,” Panasonic’s IFA 2025 presence was built on three core pillars: Holistic Wellbeing, sustainable practices detailed in their GREEN IMPACT initiative, and their deep-rooted Japanese technology, design and innovation. It’s a compelling narrative that connects every product, from the kitchen to the living room, to a larger purpose.

Holistic wellbeing: technology designed for life

Panasonic's approach to wellbeing is a comprehensive framework that aims to enhance our lives in a balanced way. The company defines this as five key dimensions: Inner, Outer, Spatial, Social and Environmental Wellbeing. At the heart of this philosophy is the idea that technology should seamlessly integrate into our lives to make us (and even our pets) healthier and more comfortable.

The company's booth at this year’s IFA was unlike any they’ve put together in years prior, and featured a "Wellbeing House" that brought this concept to life. In the kitchen, the focus was on Inner Wellbeing; the nourishment we take in. Here, the new kitchen appliance range, including the Flex Air Fryer, Table-Top Multi-Cooker and heated Blender & Soup Maker, are designed to simplify healthy eating, making it easier to prepare nutritious meals. These easy-to-use and smartly designed kitchen gadgets are a testament to how Panasonic is evolving its products to meet the demands of modern families who want both convenience and health.

Moving to the bathroom, Panasonic addressed Outer Wellbeing, which is about personal care and appearance. This showcased the new Nanoe Hair Dryer range, including the NA0J, with its fast-drying, temperature-controlled technology for healthy hair, as well as the Series 900s Shaver and epilator range. The shavers, in particular, showcase over 70 years of Japanese craftsmanship, using Japanese stainless steel blades, powered by a linear motor with an impressive 70,000 cutting motions per minute for a close and precise shave.

Finally, the living spaces were dedicated to Spatial and Social Wellbeing; the creation of a comfortable and hygienic home environment for work and relaxation. This is where Panasonic’s latest audio-visual innovations took centre stage. The company showcased its award-winning TVs with features like built-in Fire TV, Gaming Mode, Prime Video Calibrated Mode and an enhanced Filmmaker Mode, ensuring content is displayed exactly as the director intended.

GREEN IMPACT: a blueprint for sustainability

Beyond personal comfort, Panasonic is making a significant commitment to the health of the planet through its GREEN IMPACT initiative. The company’s goal is to reduce carbon emissions across its business as well as contribute to avoiding emissions in society by more than 300 million tons by 2050. This is an ambitious target, and Panasonic claims it is already making tangible progress.

At IFA, they highlighted how they've reportedly achieved net-zero CO2 emissions at 45 of their factories - a major step towards their goal of net-zero emissions at all global manufacturing sites by 2030. They are also moving towards a more circular economy by designing products with longer lifecycles. A great example is the MultiShape, a modular personal care system that uses a single power source for multiple attachments, reducing material waste and the need for separate products.

Japanese technology: the foundation of excellence

At the core of these initiatives is a century-long legacy of Japanese technology and craftsmanship. Panasonic’s products are born from a culture that values meticulous attention to detail, durability, and a spirit of consideration, or "kizukai," for the user.

This approach is especially visible in their imaging and audio products. The LUMIX S9 camera, showcased in the “Teenager’s Bedroom” for instance, gives content creators and enthusiasts a tool that helps them capture the world around them and seamlessly share through the LUMIX Lab app.

Similarly, the Technics audio brand, celebrating its 60th anniversary, continues to set the benchmark for high-fidelity sound, from the iconic SL-1200M7B turntable to the award-winning AZ100 wireless earbuds, now available in Midnight Blue.

Panasonic’s presence at IFA 2025 demonstrated how a technology company can be more than just a manufacturer. By centering its entire exhibition around the themes of wellbeing, sustainability, and its rich Japanese heritage, Panasonic is inviting us to see their products not just as tech devices, but as integral components of a better, more balanced, and more sustainable life.
