I've looked through hundreds of laptop deals today - these are the 13 best from Best Buy, Dell, and other leading retailers

Need a super cheap laptop that's lightweight but can still get the job done? This Asus Vivobook 14 is a good choice at Best Buy's Presidents' Day sale today. It's not super powerful, but a Core 5 chipset should provide enough performance for everyday tasks like browsing, or web-based applications. This machine does only have a 256GB drive, however, so storage isn't its strong point.

This Dell 15 Laptop is the definition of a 'workhorse' machine. The Dell 14 Plus is one of our favorite Windows 11 laptops from the past few years, and a great choice if you just want a solid machine with plenty of power. This is another fantastic machine for general purpose use - and the exact configuration is just $50 pricier than the 14-inch model. If you're not planning on travelling with your laptop regularly, then it could be a better option to go with the bigger screen here, especially because you're still getting that powerful Ultra 7 chipset and a spacious 1TB storage drive.

The Dell XPS 13 is a classic for a reason. It's one of the best premium laptops money can buy thanks to its feather-weight design, premium build quality, and excellent performance. Today's best deal on the XPS 13 at Dell is on this Snapdragon X configuration, which should get you heaps of performance and unbeatable battery life. This Lenovo Legion 5i isn't the cheapest gaming laptop on the market right now, but it is absolutely fantastic value. Today's best deal at the HP Store, in my opinion, is this massive $700 price cut on the HP Omen Max 16. This is one of the cheapest machines I've seen so far with the RTX 5070 Ti graphics card so you're getting a ton of bang for the buck here. The downside? The rather small 512GB SSD, which feels rather miserly for a machine of this calibre! Performance wise, however, this one is great.
