I review laptops for a living — and this Dell 15 is an absolute steal for $349.99
The ideal cheap workstation for uni and work
The best 15-inch laptops offer the perfect blend of performance and portability. I own a 14-inch MacBook Pro, but I'm regularly craving a little extra real estate on my display, and that's why I'm tempted by 15-inch alternatives like the Dell 15 Laptop, which is on sale for just $349.99 (was $519.99).
With an Intel Core 3 CPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD, this is one of Dell's entry-level offerings, but at this price, it's well worth considering, especially if you're a student who doesn't need high-end power.
And if you do need a little more performance, you can always upgrade the processor, RAM, and storage to suit your needs. Every permutation is discounted, so you're sure to get a cracking deal.
Today's best Dell 15 Laptop deal
The Intel Core 3 CPU and 8GB RAM will keep most basic applications running smoothly, and the 512GB SSD will be sufficient to store all your important documents. Save a whopping $270 on one of Dell's best entry-level laptops in what is one of the best cheap laptop deals of the year so far.
The Dell 15 Laptop boasts a 15.6in screen with support for FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Sharper and bigger displays exist, but if you're not working on high-resolution images and videos, then you're unlikely to notice. It also has a fantastic 120Hz refresh rate, which is far from guaranteed at this price point.
The Intel Core 3 100U CPU (6 cores, up to 4.7 GHz) is fast and efficient, making it a good fit for browsing the web, running MS Office applications, and light creative tasks. It's also paired with 8GB memory and a 512GB SSD to keep things running smoothly for basic everyday use.
As for connectivity, the port selection includes USB 3.2 Type-A and Type-C ports, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack, and a microSD reader. There's also support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth.
If you need more productivity from your laptop, then the Dell XPS 15 is well worth a look. It performs well in virtually every area and now offers even better value for money than before. Alternatively, our best laptops guide has a full rundown of all our favorite options.
