Dell has shown off its slate concept at its CES 2010 press conference, with the five-inch screened device set to arrive this year.

Although little has been confirmed by Dell, the 'Streak' MID has been rumoured for some time.

Suggestions are that the slate – bigger than a smartphone but smaller than a netbook – would be packing Android, the mobile OS backed by Google and the Open Handset Alliance.

The device certainly looks like a slightly oversized phone, and it seems likely the Dell slate would pack 3G and WiFi.
