The BBC has overhauled its iPlayer service to add in a whole host of new functionality, including improved quality and integrated social networking.

TV manufacturer Samsung has confirmed that the BBC iPlayer, the UK's leading catch-up TV service, is set to be one of its first apps built into its televisions this year.
The BBC's iPlayer has will launch in beta on Freesat from 7 December, with ITV's VOD service launching on the satellite platform in the first half of 2010.
The controller of TV platforms at BBC Future Media and Technology, Rahul Chakkara, has let slip that the iPlayer is to come to Freesat in beta form this month.
