If you have hard floors and a home that includes children / pets / messy adults, a wet cleaner can be a massive effort-saver. This Labor Day weekend, I've spotted a major discount on my go-to cleaner: the WashG1 is now $549 (was $749.99) at Dyson, or at Amazon.com if you prefer.

I've been using the WashG1 at least once a week on my concrete floors for almost a year now, and it's low-effort, efficient, and effective. This isn't quite the cheapest I've seen this model on sale for, but any kind of discount is unusual, and this one is especially strong.

The WashG1 rarely gets discounts, and this $200 price drop for Labor Day is an especially strong offer. This wet floor cleaner is lightweight, extremely easy to maneuver, and comes with a compact dock that won't take up your whole kitchen/utility room. The same deal is available via Amazon.

In my Dyson WashG1 review, I praised this cleaner for how lightweight and easy to maneuver it is. There's a clever system that separates solid and liquid waste, making for easier disposal and more straightforward maintenance in the long term, and it works impressively well.

Like all wet cleaners I'm aware of, it works best on perfectly flat floors – it won't clean bumpy tile evenly, and it won't reach into grout cracks, either.

The WashG1 is just for hard flooring, and there's no suction. Our roundup of the best wet-dry vacuums has options with more versatility. That roundup includes the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine, which is essentially a Dyson vacuum with a mopping floorhead (similar to the WashG1's) that can be swapped on. It's also discounted for Labor Day:

There's a massive $200 off this wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner for Labor Day. This is one of Dyson's highest-specced vacuums, but with an additional mopping floorhead so you can take care of your hard floors too.
