Samsung’s 2026 Galaxy Z-series foldable range is now officially available, with all the pre-order offers wrapping up and the devices ready to ship immediately.

If you held off on pre-ordering to wait for our verdict — and spoiler alert, we really liked both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra (our Z Flip 8 review is still on the way) — you can still save loads if you buy from the Samsung Australia store, especially if you trade in an old device.

As well as being able to claim up to AU$870 in credit by trading in an old phone, Samsung is offering a flat AU$120 bonus credit with all value trade-in devices — Samsung or otherwise. Even if you’re not trading anything in, you can still score a AU$120 Samsung eStore voucher that you can use towards Galaxy Tab, Buds, Ring or accessories purchases. These promotions will run until September 9.

We gave the Galaxy Z Fold 8 a glowing 4.5 stars out of 5 in our review for its practical size, excellent screens and all the software and performance potential — the only standout thing our reviewer missed was having a telephoto camera. If you’re keen on the new, wider form factor, Samsung is handing out a flat AU$120 bonus trade-in credit. Stacking those together, you can save as much as AU$990 off the Galaxy Fold 8’s RRP, depending on the device you’re trading in. Not trading in a device? You’ll get a AU$120 eStore voucher to use on other Galaxy ecosystem products.

We’re still in the process of reviewing the Galaxy Z Flip 8, but our colleagues at Android Central gave it 4 stars thanks to its thin and lightweight design, excellent performance, revamped cover-screen UI and useful AI features.
