CeBIT 2007: Linksys goes HD with Kiss

The Kiss 1600 HD media streamer supports DivX and XviD formats alongside Windows Media

Linksys has taken the European wraps off its Kiss 1600 HD media streamer. The device, first shown at CES , is the last Kiss-branded player that will be launched by the Cisco-owned company.

Tech.co.uk has learned that the next generation players will be Linksys or Cisco branded, depending on territory. Linksys acquired the Kiss brand back in 2005.

  • Audio formats: CD, WMA, WMA9-Pro3, AAC-LC, MP3, Ogg Vorbis
  • Image formats: JPEG, PNG. GIF and BMP images 802.11g connection for cable-free access to a home PC or the Internet
  • Ethernet 10/100 connection
  • USB 2.0 connection
  • HDMI 1.2 connection (upscaling to 720p) with HDCP WebRadio 3 with more than 3,000 radio stations
