Realme may update its TWS earbuds product line during the launch of the GT Neo 3. While the official dates for the event are yet to be announced by Realme, it does seem that the company will be revealing the Realme Buds Q2s at the event.

The Realme Buds Q2s are the successor to the Buds Q2 which was launched last year. The updated TWS earbuds are however slated to have features similar to the Chinese variant.

The earbuds may even retain the same design as last year but may ship with an improved 10mm audio driver. It could also feature the AI-powered Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC).

According to the report by Pricebaba, the TWS earbuds are expected to launch anytime in the coming weeks. The Realme Buds Q2s could be arriving in three colours - Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black and Titanium Blue. The translucent top of the case of the Realme Buds Q2s gives it quite an attractive look.

We can safely assume that the Buds Q2s may come with Dolby Atmos support apart from the AI ENC. The earbuds are also expected to have a low 88ms latency between connected devices.

The earbuds charging case is expected to feature a 480 mAh battery pack. It may offer up to 30 hours of usage. And like other TWS earbuds in the market, it could sport the Type-C charging port for a quick refill. If we refer to the original product page in the Chinese store, a 10-minute charge can provide up to 3 hours of usage.

Other features may include Bluetooth 5.2, IPX4 water resistance and customizability through the Realme Link app. Each of the earbuds will feature touch controls for music playback, answering or ending calls and switching between noise cancellation mode and transparency mode.

A smartphone + earbuds launch season

It is becoming a trend of sorts for many companies to launch their latest smartphones alongside an updated TWS that refreshes their existing product lines. We’ve seen OnePlus release a new colour option for their Buds Pro during the launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro. Oppo released the Enco Air 2 Pro at the F21 Pro launch this week.

The only company we haven’t heard from yet to refresh their earbuds is Xiaomi. With fingers crossed let’s hope they too might release a successor to the Redmi Earbuds 3 Pro at the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G launch.
